I know Kairi's health was/is the number one story coming out of TLC and rightfully so, but no thread on Vince McMahon the super hyper control freak not at a PPV?
Yes he was on a conference call earlier in the day to get things "right", but to not be in that chair in gorilla is freaking huge news!
Now hopefully the Kairi f*** up doesn't stop him from allowing others in charge, but this feels like a sign of some progress right?

I don't think it's even that unusual. Vince has been skipping a lot of shows in recent years. You don't have to physically be there to micromanage.

Depends on who you ask. Either Vince needs to be there every show no exceptions or he should start doing this more and allow people to get comfortable with him not around

Can't remember which PPV it was but Prichard was talking on his podcast about another PPV in the nineties IIRC where Vince wasn't there.

This is likely to become much more frequent once the XFaiL 2.0 kicks off early next year.

Also Triple H wasn't there either. And yes he can still micromanage stuff. If he's not there it gives Heyman and Pritchard some leeway even if it's small stuff. I'm just trying to get some hope going lmao

Even Vince looked at the TLC card and said, "nah, I'm good."

If he's not going to be there or Hunter's not going to be there, then there needs to be someone specifically trained to do it every time and that be their dedicated duty.
And again, when your PPV is centered around people FALLING OFF OF LADDERS OR GOING THROUGH TABLES, that's inexcusable that a top official wasn't there.

We, the WWE universe, are the authority now. Any fan in the audience was more than capable of handling any situation that may have came up. Vince put us in charge for a reason.

Not too much of a surprise, I think it was always assumed he'd be more hands off with XFL coming.

So that's why I mostly enjoyed the show.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I have a feeling it was KOTR 1995.
I would've skipped that event too, mind you.

It was the 1994 KOTR. Vince had his trial happening at that time, plus had neck surgery.

Listening to Prichard’s podcasts, you learn that Vince has missed PPVs from time to time. It’s not terribly uncommon.
