Remember that "better" doesn't actually mean either one is good.
I feel like I have more sympathy for Raw. I mean, it's shit, and it's an hour longer, but at least they're trying to build people up and it has a women's division worth acknowledging. SmackDown right now is basically a worst-of of the past few years worth of WWE with the only oasis being the Firefly Fun House. At least if you skip Raw you might miss a good match or something, SmackDown you're pretty much unarguably better off just looking up Bray on Youtube afterward.
And as bad as Rusev / Lashley is at least it isn't interminable amounts of Baron Corbin.

I haven’t watched either in months but if I had to pick one going off the results of the shows lately, probably Raw.

Smackdown is absolutely dire to the point of being unwatchable to me. I can't think of anything I'd want to do less on a Friday night, honestly. With RAW, it's more just a case of it's on too long and there's too much inconsequential stuff happening to REALLY invest, but there are times when I pop in and see something I enjoy.
Both shows are pretty horrendous right now. We're in the midst of the worst period WWE has had in my opinion since 1995 (NXT notwithstanding), but RAW gets a slight edge for me, too.

SD isn't THAT much better, but even with all of the Corbin lately I still find it to be an easier watch.

I'll defend you sd even if the biggest compelling stort going on right now is bray and bryan, at least you're far removed from the days when you were just rematchdown. Let's see, it's two hours which is what the max should be for a wrestling show. The blue is more vibrant so it feels like it pops out a bit more. You get some new and cool camera angles. You got bryan. You have a nice stage. And you have king corbin may his reign shine for one hundred summers and his judgment be cold for one hundred winters

Raw really benefited from getting a great roster.
Aside from the dire women’s division, Smackdown’s roster isn’t even that bad. It could be something, but it’s sunk by bad booking.

RAW is solid dogshit.
SmackDown is runny dogshit.

Both are pretty rotten right now, but Raw is probably the better show, barring stuff like that dogshit Gauntlet booking.
That said, I feel sympathy for the wrestlers. I kind of wonder if Roman is genuinely better these days, or if it's the rest of the show sinking so much that he just seems like he's better. The character does seem to have, I dunno, is matured the word? And Bryan, Bray, Miz, Kofi, there's talent there, but the show is just really damn bad.

I think with Roman it's been a little bit of both. The rest of the show is weak, but his character is finally what it should've been from the beginning IMO: a serious ass kicker who doesn't say a whole lot. For years they tried making him the funny badass who could also f*** your woman at any moment and it was just a mess.

SmackDown has Baron Corbin and Corey Graves. It's basically an unwatchable dumpster fire until Daniel Bryan's segments.

You can pick it up with a baggy and toss it out easy. SmackDown is a runny dog turd. It's the epitome of grossness. Except when Daniel Bryan is on. When Bryan's doing stuff, it's like that scene from Caddyshack.

Both have issues, but Raw tends to have more of worth, and it sure would be nice if SD could return to having women's matches more than 3 minutes long. (They haven't had one hit 10 minutes since Charlotte/Bayley back in October, with a few around 8/9 min).

This is a "getting shot" vs. "getting poisoned" comparison for me. Either way you're dead. So I'll cop out and say "NXT."
