If we're talking about stuff that objectively worked, Jackman. He obviously loved being there, the angle with Ryder/Ziggler was great and the crowd was HOT. Subjectively, I know Cooper's getting talked about here but good lord, the segment at the end of the A-Team guest host gig where Ted Dibiase Jr hired Virgil and IRS to kidnap Quentin Jackson because Roddy Pipper got him confused with Mr. T and he's saved by a Sharlto Copely riding in a golf cart with Dusty Rhodes and Mean Gene Okerlund is the dictionary definition of a fever dream. And then The Nexus happened. Remember, that was the SAME NIGHT.

Looking at all of those disparent names, and I can't believe anyone backstage thought that the Guest Host concept would be doable, much less a grand ratings success.
And now, Vince would literally sacrifice Shane to get the ratings back to those levels.

Hugh Jackman. He looked like he was genuinely having fun in front of the crowd, and with Zack Ryder. I liked the Muppets appearing as well. And now, Vince would literally sacrifice Shane to get the ratings back to those levels.

The Muppets on Raw was so fun that it needs to be a recurring thing.

Being serious. Huge Jackman or The Muppets is a legit hard choice. . It was between these two and Lovitz for me, and I'm just barely going with Jackman because of the great moments playing off the crowd's love of Zack Ryder. I was there that night for Lovitz and all I can remember from it is the one guy who had a fake eye. I wish I could forget that.

I was there that night for Lovitz and all I can remember from it is the one guy who had a fake eye. I wish I could forget that. That was the night he taught Santino the cobra. He also had a funny backstage segment with Maryse. And for someone who had no background whatsoever with understanding wrestling, he got the vibe of it really quickly and played the outsider character to perfection. I remember Jillian getting boo'ed, and Lovitz innocently looking to the audience and saying in perfect Lovitz-delivery "I guess you don't like her."

Where's Bob Barker? Or Sgt. Slaughter? Vince: 2009 pal! Yeah. If Slaughter had been later, he'd have been my choice.

Everyone forgot Jeremy Piven I like Piven. I’ll even give him BIG credit for being willing to jump of the top rope. But I get where you’re coming from.

I wished Sid hosted a Raw. Just so he could powerbomb everyone backstage and Pete Lothario as well.

Going to give Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson some love. They were awesome on commentary a couple years ago.

Buzz Aldrin. It’s confusing enough he hosted at all, hauling him to Canada to do it makes it more puzzling.
We love and respect the guy as much as any, but it didn’t make much sense.
