This isn't a sort of thing where I rant and I rave about people who don't like comedy wrestling' because it's their opinion and if they don't like comedy wrestling, then that's totally cool.
But it just seems that quite a few people just refuse to accept the idea that people can enjoy comedy in wrestling, it just seems that wrestling has to be 100% serious to them or it's "Killing the business." but, honestly, it's weird to complain about comedy in professional wrestling considering that pro wrestling started out as a circus side-show attraction before the Gold-Dust Trio got their hands on it.
I'm not saying that you have to have comedy wrestling or even like it, but I personally think that there's room on the card for every style of wrestling, that way everyone gets to see a style of wrestling that they like. Hell, a lot of goofy and silly wrestlers are fantastic in-ring performers in their own right.
Orange Cassidy, when he's motivated, like when he and PAC squared off at this recent AEW taping, he was amazing; it's the same reason why Edge and Christian are probably my favourite tag team of all time because they balanced the comedy shit with their fantastic in-ring work, same with Kurt Angle around the same time being an oblivious heel with no sense of self awareness.
Anyway, this is what got me thinking: What is your personal favourite bit of comedy in wrestling? It can either be a wrestler, a moment, a promo or even a random moment in a super serious match? For me, it has to be JBL throwing a trashcan right at Hornswoggle in his Belfast Brawl with Finlay at a Wrestlemania (the number of which I can't remember.)

The Duchess Of Queensbury Rules match. Comedy in spades, and made Regal look even more dastardly.
Also, Jervis Cottonbelly rocking Orange Cassidy to sleep.

There have been tons of amazing comedy, but the one I consistently guffaw over is the King Of Trios match with F.I.S.T. vs. Team ROH.
If you don't know, team ROH had Bobby Dempsey on their team. He was limited and overweight, and his role in Sweet N Sour Inc. was to be belittled, yelled at, and made fun of by the rest of the group, especially Tank Tolland to get sympathy from the crowd. He always had a smile on his face and seemed so innocent that it was a gimmick where you expected it to play out where one day he snaps and lays everyone out, or at least just Tank.
However, in this match, he tags in and doesn't really do much but walk around. Each member of F.I.S.T. bounces around for him regardless, attempting slams that don't work. Trying to do shoulder-tackles but falling to the ground. Then at one point, Chuck Taylor looks over to Team ROH and screams, "Why would you DO this? You've created an unstoppable killing machine!"

At one ROH show I went to they had an over-the-top battle royal and Larry Sweeny's kept shouting instructions at Bobby Dempsey to "be a turtle!" so that he would just curl up in a ball and not be moved.

Say what you like about his career after he was released, but Damien Mizdow is still the best comedy gimmick that I have seen.

Regal knocks out Big Show with the brass knuckles, only for Show to bounce off the ropes and land on top of Regal to claim the win.

EDIT: Probably should have just included the clip, because the entire segment is hilarious:

Yea when people talk about great managers of this last decade those two will sadly not get their due even though they were such a perfect pairing and worked the hell out of the gimmick , never a dull moment with them.

Heenan/Duggan/College
It sucked as a blow-off to an intense "blinding" angle, but on its own as a match, Jake vs. Martel blindfold match was f***ing hilarious and I can rewatch it over and over. Martel was absolutely amazing in his role.
