I may be in the wrong, but Swole doesn’t come off looking good in this while Jade looks like a professional. Yeeeeeah... I guess Swole won't be in the Tournament then lol

For some reason, I signed up for the AEW loot crate, which makes up a lot of ground in my impulse buy backlog.

I'm glad that AEW listened and changed the charity that benefits from this.

I rarely watch AEW because they haven’t established a foothold in Canada (obviously because of the pandemic) because they haven’t done any shows in my country. I know TSN broadcasts some of their programming but they were notorious for editing out Monday Night Raw back in its heyday. Do they continue to do those censorship practices on the AEW shows?

Was somehow of the impression she was now based US-side permanently, per her return circa All Out this year.

Was somehow of the impression she was now based US-side permanently, per her return circa All Out this year. The news and rumors around Riho have been confusing scraps and trickles of information. There was a report at some point, I don't even remember the source, that she was moving to the US and rooming with Shida, but there's been no evidence that that ever happened. May just be that she's a very private person, or that her living situation has been greatly affected by the shifting situation with international travel. At any rate, for as much as it'd be nice to know why she's on TV so little, those scraps make me think that the answer is probably none of my business.

How often has Mark Henry been on Dynamite? I feel like not enough to merit being in the intro.

Well she's back in the US now as she was at the DARK Universal tapings. Travel's gonna be way easier for her and others very soon so they might just be waiting till November to use the Joshi on a more full time basis again for all we know outside of Shida.

Wait, was AEW really working with Komen originally before Punk got them to switch over to the far more reputable BCRF?
I guess I get why Tony Khan did Komen at first because the NFL was (and I think still is) one of their biggest partners for ages. But really happy to see Punk work to correct that.

They tweeted it and everything. Someone made a thread of it here but it got closed quick. Punk tweeted “working on it” and lo and behold.

I wonder if Tony Khan maybe should slightly rein certain wrestlers in with the complaints some of us have had about Cody, Britt Baker, MJF, and Jericho?
Cody: Over-the-top presentation as a face with phony inspirational promos, bleeds too much, going over Archer last year in the TNT title match, and resisting a heel turn despite negative crowd reactions, especially after the result of the third match with Malakai Black on Dynamite.
Britt Baker: Her recent promos go into "cool heel" territory with insider jabs at her opponents. I do feel the conspiracy victim promos and the segments with Schiavone before Baker was champion were more entertaining.
MJF: There are some mixed feelings about the cheap heat insults, but I think he could stand to do less shouting like in his pre-taped promos where he has more of a calm, sadistic tone.
Jericho: Homophobic insults stuck in the Attitude Era, shouts too much on commentary.

Jericho: Homophobic insults stuck in the Attitude Era, shouts too much on commentary. I was with Cody even after that ridiculous promo but it’s escalated since the Ogogo feud and there’s merit to the complaints. Britt is absolutely my girl but I see people’s problems with the “cool heel” thing. More so I think people might have a point when they say a lot of her feuds feel superfluous leading to the Rosa match. This traces back to TK’s long term loving of stretched out angles. And I’ve thought sporadically it might help to occasionally stray from that. Don’t think there’s a lot of credibility to complaints about MJF. That’s his character. He’s really fricken good on the mic, obviously, and I do think he switches it up occasionally, a good example of that is how he spoke to Wardlow on Dynamite. That’s strikingly different. I think with age..he’ll have to change. But he’s still young and the brash, egotistical “edge” is part of that. Jericho isn’t going to change. 🤷
