I wonder if Tony Khan maybe should slightly rein certain wrestlers in with the complaints some of us have had about Cody, Britt Baker, MJF, and Jericho? Cody: Over-the-top presentation as a face with phony inspirational promos, bleeds too much, going over Archer last year in the TNT title match, and resisting a heel turn despite negative crowd reactions, especially after the result of the third match with Malakai Black on Dynamite. Britt Baker: Her recent promos go into "cool heel" territory with insider jabs at her opponents. I do feel the conspiracy victim promos and the segments with Schiavone before Baker was champion were more entertaining. MJF: There are some mixed feelings about the cheap heat insults, but I think he could stand to do less shouting like in his pre-taped promos where he has more of a calm, sadistic tone. Jericho: Homophobic insults stuck in the Attitude Era, shouts too much on commentary. Definitely. I think they've overvalued creative freedom, its great they're given the chance but doesn't mean they shouldn't be reigned in on occasion. Even the best creative minds in any field of entertainment need an editor. I think it's usually time more than content, the Jericho/MJF fued was way too overindulgent. Both suffer from their good material being spread too thinly so end up having to fill with cheap crap. There should be a small list of areas not to stray into without good reason, homophobia, anything sex related unless you're Miro*, rodents (Jake), America f*** yeah (Cody), bringing up problematic wrestlers of the past (JR) and anything that suggests someone isn't a real wrestler. *The test should be is this line better than what Miro would say. If not don't say it.

Jericho: Homophobic insults stuck in the Attitude Era, shouts too much on commentary. Considering the latest reaction he got, I don't think Tony needs to think about MJF at all. I've rarely heard that level of heat.

To avoid the problem with hockey being on at 8 MT/PT for the rest of the year.

To avoid the problem with hockey being on at 8 MT/PT for the rest of the year. Considering that probably f***ed up the final ratings for Saturday Dynamite? Yeah I would.

That must've really pissed off Tessa Blanchard's remaining fans.

To avoid the problem with hockey being on at 8 MT/PT for the rest of the year. They probably realized it helps AEW and gives their hockey ratings a boost with a stronger lead in.

Dante Martin's facial expressions in backstage promos reminds me of a kid being dragged around the shops by their mum.

I don't know if this counts, or if anyone else feels the same way, but while Dynamite seems to be higher quality in terms of wrestling, since signing guys like Danielson and Punk there shows just seem less fun.
I know it wasn't everyone's taste, but while I still watch and enjoy the shows every week they are very serious and there doesn't seem to be much flow. 2 years ago everyone felt part of the same show, everyone seemed to get mixed up in feuds and matches. Now it feels a bit like "we must give x his segment, then x gets his" etc.
Does that make much sense? I dunno, just feels like they are trying to get everyone on every show even if there is no real reason for it, like Bobby Fish for example. I liked seeing guys like Butcher and The Blade, Joey Janela, his partner who's name I forget, Dark Order doing something meaningful etc. Everything feels like 15 minute segments now, not a flowing 2 hours of a group of people where anything can happen.
Although ironically I post this right after Black's random attacking of Pac. It feels like two years ago there might have been some reason for that, interrupted backstage segment, a fight backstage where they accidentally brawled into Black. Now it's just "Andrade segment, we'll have Black appear for shock value"
I'm rambling, I hope someone understands what I mean haha
I guess it feels more like modern WWE and less like Attitude Era style, much more produced, less organic feel.

^Yeah I've thought similar but I think it's temporary. They need to feature Punk and Bryan in particular while their name value is highest and some people will still tune in just to see them.
Plus with two tournaments and an upcoming ppv the shows naturally have more structure.
It'll probably losen up a bit after Full Gear.

I imagine things will get back into a groove with only Wednesday shows on TNT left on the year until the TBS move and with the march to Full Gear in full swing.

Say what you will about the Dynamite theme song, but hearing it at the start of every Wednesday show fills me with a smile because I know I'll be in for some good wrestling action for the next two hours.

I have been hating Bryan's promos as much as I have been adoring his matches.
I don't care for the Kenny no balls thing.
Also not a big fan of no selling Eddie's depression.

I probably just need to take note of other matches, but Tony Schiavone critics Shida in her matches more than he does others. Maybe he’s still in character and hating on Britt’s old rival
