- I *think* it's a derivation of Deck the Halls but not same chords and definite differences - Female singer, band sounds like it might be early 90s; almost Muffs-like if they were more Christmas-y - mildly pop-punk-ish - Lot of Sha la la in it. - Big enough to be on notable Christmas pop rock compilations.
Any idea?

Could it be a No Doubt song? As a No Doubt connoisseur *sips wine* I don't think it's by them. The description sounds like it could be, but the only Christmas song I'm aware they ever made was "Oi To The World". This mystery song is actually driving me a little crazy, because it sounds like I should know it.

Not quite that punk-y. It's hard for me to describe - it almost sounds like it belongs on that Saturday Morning CD that had all the covers of old cartoon themes. Sounds similar to the Tra-la-la song on there. Kinda of.

Could it be “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses?

Could it be “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses? That would be my guess but I can't imagine how anyone could think it has an early 90's sound. Edit: I forgot it was covered by the Spice Girls, that might be where the 90's sound thing is coming from. Was it this?
