Last one was Aries / Neville in April 2017, and even then that was only the third televised one since 2011.
Something to be said for not beating the concept into the ground I guess but it's weird that a gimmick match that takes literally no special arrangements is just something WWE never does.

Wasn't Nattie and Becky one? Or not officially? Just hyped as a Sharpshooter vs. Dis-arm-her thing?

Oh right, the SummerSlam match was a thing. Guess I should've double-checked from IWD for some reason didn't have it in the list.
My mistake I guess. ... Still an oddly underused gimmick though.

It only really works as a concept like if the heel has a submission finisher and the face doesn't...
because Natty vs. Becky mentioned above was more or less how their normal matches would have gone... since both have Submission finishers.
the other way it seems like the Heel has an advantage the face has to overcome.

Now, if there was a stipulation that might have been underutilized, it’s Submissions Count Anywhere. There was only two of these that I recall, and they got decent mileage out of getting submissions in places you normally don’t see a submission being used. Cody and Ted getting DX to submit to a Ringpost Figure Four and Million Dollar Dream combination might be one of the only times a Ringpost Figure Four ended a match, and Morrison using a Dragon Sleeper through a stair rail in the crowd was definitely unique.

Not true, I've watched plenty of posters on here give up on WWE.

Makes sense. I mean, how could you have have a submission match when they don't want anybody to sell anything?

The last thing this company needs is another title, but I always thought that a title only defended in submission matches would be a really cool concept.

I haven’t watched a full RAW in a while, have they stopped doing the stupid 2 out of 3 falls matches to line up with commercial breaks?
I used to love that match, but it’s been ruined for a while.

Yeah, that’s a thing of the past, but definitely one of the more bizarre experiences I’ve seen the WWE try.

Becky vs. Asuka should be a submission match IMO.
Tap or snap.

Does anyone even still do submission moves in WWE?

Does anyone even still do submission moves in WWE? Most of the Women have submission finishers/signatures off the top of my head. Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi, Charlotte, Bazsler, Carmella. For men. Rusev, AJ?(he really doesn't do the calf crusher anymore), Brock's Kimura is still pretty much a death move, Gulak, Jinder, Joe... Ciampa and Gargano. edit: how the hell did I forget the Sharpshooter for Natalya.... double edit: ... I forgot Bryan too... damn I need to go to sleep...
