That's right, it's Monday again and that means ONLY one thing... Time for the last RAW of the 2010s, live to you from Hartford. Next thing up will be the Royal Rumble, but before that we have the following scheduled for tonight:
*We began the decade with Bret Hart making peace with Shawn Michaels, tonight we close it with Bobby Lashley and Lana making marital bonds. That's right, we got ourselves a wrestling wedding! Those always turn out well. Will this one continue the trend? Will Rusev make his presence felt, despite claiming he doesn't care what happens?
*In a rematch from TLC, Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy go head-to-head in singles competition. Their last bout was regarded as one of the matches of the night, and the potential is there for it to happen again. Can the Ominous Man from Amsterdam make it two straight wins over Murphy and continue his nearly six month unbeaten run? Or can The Best Kept Secret tie things up and close out the year with a victory?
*RAW closed last week with Seth Rollins and the AoP laying out both (then) United States Champion Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe, who had been sitting at commentary for the last few weeks. Joe has been an outspoken critic of Rollins and AoP, and now with his hand just about healed, he's fixing to start throwing them. On the other hand, Rollins has been nigh on untouchable since recruiting Akam and Rezar to his side, so that might be easier said than done. Mysterio could be otherwise occupied with the new United States Champion Andrade, who beat him for it at a house show at Madison Square Garden last Thursday, but there's a prizefighter back there who also wants his pound of flesh from The Architect. Interesting developments are afoot as we close out the year.
*Last week, RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch challenged Women's Tag Team Champion Asuka to a title bout for her own championship, and the Empress Of Tomorrow was eager to accept. Asuka is one of the only people who can claim a definitive victory over The Man during her meteoric rise to stardom, but was still left overshadowed nonetheless. But when will this bout occur? Maybe we'll get closer to finding out tonight.
All that, and Baby New Year wins the 24/7 Championship (queue THAT gif), TONIGHT on RAW!
