Return of the King is my favourite Lord of the Rings film. Prisoner of Azkaban is my joint-favourite Harry Potter film. Whilst not my favourite of the series, Goldfinger tops a lot of people’s Bond films. And although I can see why some people won’t agree, Iron Man 3 is the best of the three. I almost put ROTK, but they desperately needed to trim about 40 minutes, pretty much all from the extended coda. Would agree the third HP was the best to that point, absolutely. Just got overshadowed by the fourth, which was itself something of an outlier by being better than what preceded it. The fourth is probably my least favourite (other than the first). There’s just too much going on and it’s a bit of a mess. That and the stupid long hair that half the male students seem to be sporting.

Austin Powers in Goldmember. The first two Austin Powers movies are funny, but the third one is hilarious.

I whole heartedly agree with Last Crusade and Episode III. I would also add Romero's Day Of The Dead.

I don’t even regard it as a trilogy. It’s one movie. If I watch it, I watch all 3. What kind of crazy person would just watch one independent of the other? Definitely. Remove the credits and they run seamlessly as a single 6-hour epic journey through time. It's really weird when Jennifer all of the sudden becomes a different person.

"Now, Jerry will tell you that Wrath Of Khan is superior to Search For Spock..." Also, Rocky III.

I whole heartedly agree with Last Crusade and Episode III. I would also add Romero's Day Of The Dead. Day Of The Dead deserves way more love. Great story, great performances, even in 2020 the most spectacular gore effects I’ve ever seen in a film. Still tough to argue it’s better than the action and drama of Dawn tho.

Madagascar 3 is actually great.
Considering 1 and 2 are pretty trash

It’s funny, I was watching a cinemassacre video where they were talking about National Lampoon Christmas was the third but most well remembered of the Vacation series

I love The Evil Dead 1 and 2, but Army of Darkness is my favorite of the series.

Austin Powers in Goldmember. The first two Austin Powers movies are funny, but the third one is hilarious. I think in the opposite direction. First one was the best, the other two became caricatures of the original format.

Return of the Jedi has always been my favorite Star Wars film. It is my favorite as well, and has the best scene overall in the Luke vs Vader fight, but I think Empire is overall a better crafted film.

I love The Evil Dead 1 and 2, but Army of Darkness is my favorite of the series. All films are great, but what's even better is that they are great for different reasons. Evil Dead is pure horror. Evil Dead 2 is splatter-gore-comedy. Evil Dead 3 is a adventure-light horror-comedy. If one considers the Dollar Trilogy to be a true trilogy, The Good, The Band and The Ugly is better than Fistful of Dollars and For a few Dollars More.

I hard disagree (despite liking Forever), but I can understand the viewpoint. At least Forever has, like... A story? I love the Burton movies but they're pretty much just a series of things happening and are much more built around tone and set pieces than they are a functional narrative. That works for me (with them, anyway, you can say the same thing about Spider-Man 1 and honestly I think that's worse than 3 is) but I can get where it wouldn't click with somebody.

Dream Warriors & Last Crusade were the first 2 that popped into my head.
Plus, it's not actually a 3rd movie in a movie series, but I think that Jason Lives is the best of the "Tommy Jarvis" trilogy.
