This is what happens when AEW actually hypes up their card. That does help a lot for any card. It also helped that NXT was a clip show and not new content. I figure if they keep hyping matches against NXT they ratings will be close weekly. But it is an impressive number going against the big college football bowl games regardless. Raw would loved to had this against the NFL on a Monday.

Both shows pretty much lined up with what I was expecting. AEW was putting on a big, heavily hyped up show while NXT was basically disposable filler but was content quality enough that if you haven't seen it before it's worth watching. Had a random dream the night of the shows that involved checking the ratings and these are pretty much the numbers that were in that.

That's a way better number than I was expecting, considering you had two major (granted, non-playoff) CFB games going against it. Nice bounceback from AEW. DVR numbers should easily bump it over a million.

I'm just happy the numbers are good, and hope they can stay around 7-800k for the foreseeable future.

A number they needed and they got it, damn good
Next week's show looks to be a good one too, Rhodes vs Lucha Bros is gonna slap, Riho vs Statlander is highly anticipated, and Omega/Page vs Private Party is great too.

The (presumed) finale to the Mox/Inner Circle recruitment angle should garner some interest.
