What happened to Moose Jaws!? I suspect whoever was funding it pulled out after Yoga Hosers made less than $40,000 on a $5 million budget. I liked Yoga Hosers... :/

I liked Yoga Hosers... :/ It is what it is, but when you're making no-budget movies (and these days, making anything for under $10 million qualifies as that) it's expected that you at least make some money back. Based on the performance of Tusk and Yoga Hosers the pitch to potential Moose Jaws funders is pretty much "You're not gonna see a cent back from your investment, but the movie will be weird as f***, and isn't that what really matters?"

I still say that Tusk is what would happen if Troma made a movie that had a cast worth a damn and more than 50 cents to spend on the production.

Has Reboot been released yet? And not in the roadshow, but via streaming?

Has Reboot been released yet? And not in the roadshow, but via streaming? Comes out on BluRay and DVD on Tuesday. Also, at the Roadshow tonight Smith revealed the plot to Clerks 3 {Spoiler}Film opens with Randall having a massive heart attack. He survives and realizes he’s got nothing to leave behind to the world, no wife, no children. He’s spent his whole life watching other people’s movies. So he decides to shoot his own movie, that takes place in the Quick Stop and his based on his life working there.

But I did see the movie the other night, it’s fun but you really have to be a View Askewneverse fan to appreciate it

The scene with Affleck, and Alyssa and Amy was incredible.

I haven’t seen her in anything since Strike Back but she’s mainly a 90’s girl, so I guess I just assumed she always looked 24 or however old she was when she was in things.

Joey did look like she’s had a rough life, but I guess she’s about 50 and we can’t expect everyone to age as gracefully as I do. (33, look like I’m 21. 17 if I shave my beard off)

Dude seemed to have gained ten years since Justice League.

Also I feel like while Mallrats wasn't a bad movie, it doesn't lend itself to a direct sequel as much as Clerks does (which I always felt had a lot more heart to it). Perhaps, however the state of the American shopping mall has changed GREATLY since the first Mallrats - they teased this a bit in Jay & Silent Bob Reboot {Spoiler}as Brodie now owns a comic store in the largely abandoned mall from the original - so I could imagine a movie about 40-50 years old clinging to this old part of culture (a "everything we loved is dying now, wouldn't it be great if it could live again" motif) could work well in a modern day Kevin Smith film.
