Bryan defeats Fiend. Punk wins Rumble. WrestleMania match. It's easy to book, just throw couple mils to that bum Punk for one match. He'll take it and WWE can afford it.

Eh... I could live without it. Their matches were mostly pretty good (though I've not seen the Over the Limit one) but their Money in the Bank one was so damn bad it pretty much poisoned the entire concept for me.

To me the attraction would be them finally being their own men and not a second fiddles to anyone else. An actual legends match, those have always been WWE's favourites. Bryan's rise was just really starting when they faced off.

They always had only middling chemistry, which is odd because Bryan's whole thing is that he seems to have chemistry with everyone. It's definitely a match that conceptually fits Wrestlemania - these two indy darlings who made good in the big leagues, who were basically proof of concept for 00's/10's indy stars main eventing in WWE - but I can't really imagine it delivering beyond that.

I loved their matches but I felt they were holding back a little bit. I always thought they could do one even better.
Same with Nakamura and Styles. I thought all their matches sucked. But I had a feeling they were holding back for some reason... look at their Tokyo Dome match and compare it to their WWE matches. The dodgy finishes and the fact that Nakamura was the heel absolutely killed it IMO.
Off topic but let’s just say... the whole AJ Lee part of the Bryan/Punk feud kinda distracted from the fact that these two could’ve potentially put on the greatest match of all time if given the minutes.

I’m more disappointed we didn’t see a bunch of Daniel/Punk vs everyone else matches from a few years back. If I recall, they feuded with the Wyatts and that was it.

I always thought their Over The Limit match was the best WWE title match on a PPV since Angle/Benoit in 03, so I'd be all for this.

I thought their matches in WWE were fairly average, considering how good both are. As much as I like Punk also, even he couldn't get me to watch WWE again.

I didn't think they had particularly good chemistry. They each had vastly superior matches with with less talented opponents.

Ehh I’m not, their chemistry wasn’t all the way there
They did have a good match in their last encounter but you expect amazing from those two
