In the moment I'm leaning 1 mostly because it didn't have all the glaring technical issues.

Technical issues aside, 1 was just the better show, as emotionally satisfying as the main event was on night 2.

I'm kind of a "moment" guy when it comes to wrestling much of the time, and usually put a lot into emotional impact, so 2 did it for me more, though 1 still had some real great shit, obviously.

Night 2. It suffered from a fatigued crowd until the Moxley-Suzuki angle, but everything on the card was good to incredible. Night 1s first half suffered from too much filler and the crowd just breaking itself for Naito was incredible.

The technical issues hurt night 2, but I am still going with night 2. Night 1 had two amazing matches in Takahashi/Ospreay and Ibushi/Okada, but there was a lot of filler early in the show that you don't usually see at Wrestle Kingdom. Night 2 had more important matches throughout the night and bigger moments, Liger's last match, Suzuki challenging Moxley and Naito winning the big one. Outside of Ibushi/White in the loser's bracket, nothing really felt like filler, every match meant something. I really enjoyed Goto/KENTA, Tanahashi vs Jericho and the main event was fantastic, despite both men having lengthy main event matches in night 1. Even Juice/Moxley, Liger's final, and the Jr. Tag matches were enjoyable although not great matches, they were good.

I thought night 1 had a greater number of great matches. Night 2 was good, but I didn't love as many of the matches (Outside of the five-star classic that was Naito vs. Okada).

I will say night 2. Night 1 was about half of a decent card, but there were too many young boys or old men matches on there, or just random 8 man tags to get everyone booked. Night 2 was nonstop solid stuff from top to bottom, though Mox's match on night 1 was probably better. We got the Suzuki deal after that though, so it kinda balances out.

1. Night 2, while still great, felt like the epilogue to the whole event.
