Punk comes across really poorly here. If Miz fan say something so small and get a reaction like that from you, he won. You can’t make a post like the one Punk made and consider yourself a winner.
He’s got so many people and situations taking up space in his head.

Punk was harsh but right. Doing business with saudis is akin to supporting other things we are not allowed to discuss As someone else pointed out, why single out Miz when his fellow Backstage co-hosts are also complicit in the Saudi deal?

Saw this last night and eh, this whole situation is one big wrong. For one, Punk's hatred of Miz needs to stop. We get it, you hate him, but you can't let that hatred follow you. It's been years since you've seen him. Secondly, saying someone needs to suck one as an insult in 2020 just sounds so old school, we don't do that anymore. We're progressive now and Punk should known that. The fact he deleted it afterwards shows he realized it was wrong but the fact it even came out just shows that he was fed up with it. The blood money comment can be thrown out but shit, your coworkers are affected by that. They're doing nothing different than Miz here. Like, he should have seen that and let it go. As for Miz, dude threw a random shot out there for no reason and yeah it was lame, yeah it was light but man it says something that the only thing people know about your Backstage appearance is when you throw a shot at someone else. Don't care about anyone saying it's "not a shot" either, he knew what he was doing hence why Renee was cracking up. These dudes are too old to be acting like this. They sound like internet forum posters. That's still more Punk tho You had David Arquette go on Backstage and make fun of Punks MMA career and he was going to stop but Punk was like nah you should have gone ahead with it I don't mind. What Miz said really is a bunch of nothing and for Punk to be triggered by that little nonsense says a lot about him Yeah even though it's more on Punk, neither of them look good in this. Punk just has a bigger stain on him. When you've got a 41 and 39 year old in the headlines for something like this that just looks so immature. It's silly.

They sound like internet forum posters. Separately, what is there to talk about during a WWE Backstage appearance? It’s not supposed to make waves or make news. It’s a pleasant talk show that gives Renee something to do. Like, most of the reactions it’s gotten is: ‘Wow, Seth came off well.’ Or ‘Wow, Baron came off well.’ Since Miz is a vet who does a ton of interviews, that won’t generate discussion. I agree, though—Miz’s dig was lame but the ‘change the culture’ mantra is also eye-rolling.

I never understood that part of Punk’s DVD where he was like, and I’m paraphrasing but his sentiment was basically “I feel I should’ve been the WrestleMania main event that year,” and it’s like dude - you were part of a lame “New Nexus” feuding with Randy Orton; in what world would that be the main event over WWE Champion The Miz defending against John Cena? Punk was nowhere near a sniff of the main event scene at that point. Just a small sample of some of his self-entitled bullshit.

And Miz hasn't been on the show the last few times but yeah that opens the door to criticism to your friend Renee that i'm sure he wasn't looking to do

Yea it is probably words Miz regrets if something that small will set him off Also shows the "old Phil" is still there despite the jokey nature he has had. It is a bad setback for him for a dude who has been making strides this year

Punk's not wrong about the Saudi thing, but otherwise he comes off as really cringey. Besides Miz hasn't even been on the last couple of Saudi shows, whether that's out of conscientious objection or WWE not wanting him on the card for whatever reason.

Punk's current gig is making money for Fox, and making money for Vince and WWE. How can he possibly claim a high ground? He doesn't have to promote WWE if he's that opposed to the company, there's plenty of other wrestling organisations out there that would be happy to have him around even in just a speaking role.

He thought he should have been in the main event vs Cena and not doing the Nexus/Orton stuff.

I honestly don’t understand why he’s that upset about Miz main eventing mania. Dude won the main event of what is the most iconic ppv of the 2010s, and held the title for over a year. I’d rather have that than third wheel at the mania main event

Yeah. But this only makes me believe even moreso those comments from Cody/Tony Khan/Elite distancing themselves from Punk. No doubt he’s a draw but he’s also still (unfortunately) kind of a douche.

If Miz sucks a blood money covered dick at the next Saudi show...I watch that show. Don't get me wrong, I can totally get into watching a gay blowjob once in awhile, but watching the Miz have sex of any type sounds really gross for some reason. And, no offense, but it's the Miz. He makes anything boring. For the record, I'm not taking Punk's side. I've blocked his Twitter page and pretty much have been "meh" on him coming back to do WWE programming.

Not to mention (and I think people forget this) that the Miz throughout the Summer of 2010 and into early 2011 was absolutely white hot as a heel. It was only when they did the ridiculous Lawler stuff that he cooled a little, and even then he was still leaps and bounds about everyone else in terms of reaction.

Oh, that's a huge part of it, for sure. That is basically the only part of it Him and Del Rio have gotten on Miz about them being better wrestlers and they don't like him for being the company guy and opportunities he got What both of them fail to forget is Miz is actually good and have gotten these opportunities because he doesn't do stupid shit like this. Imagine those two being a 3rd wheel at WM for Rock and Cena. They'd lose their mind I'd never put a lot of stock into the likes of Del Rio and what he says for this exact reason; some guys are going to be too bitter and angry to look realistically at someone when assessing them. Compare Punk and Alberto talk about him to how chiller, way more personable guys like Daniel Bryan or Cody Rhodes talk about him. Punk always had a chip on his shoulder and believed himself a big enough star to be above a lot of the out-of-ring things WWE wants out of top guys, which didn't help his fight to the top, while Alberto just sucks. But people with that same commitment and work ethic? They talk up just how crazy much more Miz does and how hard he puts in the work on his job. When Daniel Bryan is commending you on how much more work you do than him, that's lunacy. When everyone but the abrasive dickheads who leave everywhere on bad terms and have bad shit to say about nearly everyone are your only critics, you're doing it right.

Punk was harsh but right. Doing business with saudis is akin to supporting other things we are not allowed to discuss As I alluded to in a previous post, Punk has no ground to stand on. He's not above doing business with people that seemingly go against his ideology. Basically, he's an embarrassing, immature hypocrite who is forever trying to be the coolest kid outside of Hot Topic. Dude worked ufc and wwe he has no ground to stand on But he can have an opinion
