Boy, Cody really wants revenge on MJF for costing him any future title shots. Look at him deciding to wait another week to answer MJF's stipulations and also not showing up to aid DDP after the assault. I get that the no physical contact clause is a thing to consider, and it's padding until Revolution, but it really feels like this feud's deflating and MJF is doing everything in his power to keep it interesting, and he's really the brightest spot of it all.
Hell, in the past two months since MJF cost Cody the title and turned on him, they've made a better case for an MJF/DDP feud than MJF/Cody

I've really reached the point where I don't care at all about this feud. It's just overstuffed, Cody and MJF both feel utterly directionless as characters, and as much as Cody's desperate to get revenge on MJF no matter what he apparently can't even just go, "Yeah, sure, I'll do it," without taking two weeks to think about it.
The feud just has no urgency to it at all.

I figured it was highly intentional that MJF waited until Cody had a match, got dropped on his head, and then had his coach say "screw that guy, we're not answering him today", since he knew damn well Cody wouldn't make it right back out, given that commentary even played that up.

While I haven't seen this week yet, I have my eye on the 10 Lashes segment possibly being promo of the year material when they get to it, and that will be the big thing that pushes the feud up. Tommy Dreamer became a made man off a similar promo, and I bet Cody is full aware of what made that work.

In a way...I get the logic.
Think about it, before bringing in Arn, Cody was heart strong, not thinking right, throwing his money and possessions around just to get a match. Now with Arn in his matches and outside, he’s now his head and so far it’s worked in ring wise.
If anything, the tables have turned and MJF is the less headsmart one unless he comes up with a strategy for next week, which he will because he’s a prick.

That actually puts this in a better light for me

That actually puts this in a better light for me I’ll admit, they haven’t explained it mega well on TV but I’m more going by what they were saying last week with his win against Darby.

Yeh the way I felt it is that Arn is putting Cody's head in the game I actually think they might be able to make MJF want the match by using Arn's Smarts
