Literally just saw my check get deposit and used the whole thing plus a little extra to pay off my credit card balances.
Really not looking forward to taxes this year either.

Used to happen all the time back in the old days.
Still happens now on occasion, usually paying bills and the credit card. Difference now is that I have become more paranoid about using my debit card. So I usually just use the credit card for everything then pay it off every week so I never carry a balance. I guess I always do put some in savings though.

I guess I always do put some in savings though. Generally I don’t like to carry a balance either. I have a side hustle selling things online and I’ve determined the best strategy is to buy my inventory in bulk a few times a year. So I use my cards for that then like to pay them off immediately. It’s nice in that I get rewards points and don’t have to worry about the interest. It’s annoying in that sometimes I have to watch my paycheck instantly evaporate.

I know what that's like. It's the biggest reason I became a minimalist.

I've got it so that the business I work for withholds a little extra off of each paycheque ($20 per) and at the end of the year, what's been held back extra comes back to me as a refund. That refund helps pay down any credit card charges I'd racked up. Also, first bill I pay is myself. First thing done is put a couple of bucks into a separate account.

This week.
Absolutely screwed for the next two weeks. Hoping I can hit a food bank, but I work the hours it's open so I don't know what to do.
