I'm not excusing what he did but the age of consent in a most of the areas where Wrestling Is... shows took place is 16. So the "underage" part would be thrown out the window if any kind of legal action was taken. It's still unwanted sexual harassment though.

I'm not excusing what he did but the age of consent in a most of the areas where Wrestling Is... shows took place is 16. So the "underage" part would be thrown out the window if any kind of legal action was taken. It's still unwanted sexual harassment though. Yeah, that was my takeaway too. Creepy as all f***? Yes. And depending on what her responses were, probably a clear cut harassment case. But technically nothing illegal about trying to sleep with a 17 year old unless you hold a position of authority/trust over them like teacher, sports coach, boss. Also, I have no idea who the wrestler is nor do I know how old he is. Because I’d feel differently if it’s a 23 year old doing a terrible job of trying to use his “fame” to get laid vs if he’s 35 and just a creepy f***. |
