So there's this one small video game store nearby my house where gamers can buy/sell/trade pre-owned games and even play some arcade games there. They're always well stocked with games from the major console libraries of the past and present. But yesterday I noticed their Dreamcast shelf was a little sparse, in quantity and definitely in quality, as like half the games on that shelf were old sports games that even they can't give away. I wondered why, but didn't ask or anything, but then one of the employees mentioned Xavier Woods out loud, and then told me about how he was once there (he didn't specify when or how long ago). I guess recently XW was in the Boston area and looked up video game stores and decided to call that one and ask "Hey, you guys got Dreamcast games?" and they said yes and he said "OK, I'm coming over today to buy one of every single Dreamcast game you have in stock!" So yeah, just in case you forgot that Xavier Woods is living his best life, at the drop of a hat he can drop a dime on a game collection.

Xavier has enough to time to beat Skies of Arcadia, even with the Dreamcast's loading times.

Xavier has enough to time to beat Skies of Arcadia, even with the Dreamcast's loading times. He's even willing to put up with that underwater mountain.

To be fair, I don't think most US-released Dreamcast games are all that expensive. And not every store is going to have the few that are.

I legit knew one person that had Dreamcast as a kid, and we’d play NBA and he’d always insist on being the Bucks because of Ray Allen.
Not really related, but a good memory for me.
And to be fair I probably would have gotten one at the time since I was a big Genesis and Game Gear fan, but it just happened to come out when my interest in games was a little lower than it previously was. I didn’t get any new systems between the original PlayStation and original Xbox.

It’s going to suck when he gets home and remembers he doesn’t have a Dreamcast.

I imagine this going like that Parks and Rec scene:
“And when I say ‘all the Dreamcast games you have’, I don’t mean a lot of Dreamcast games, I mean all the Dreamcast games you have.”

i really loved Sonic Adventure as a kid, but do remember playing the game and even as child seeing that the game was released before being finished. So many weird bugs
