So it is going to be adventure 01 but sort of like a divergent timeline is what I am assuming through the pronounciation.
Gonna be awhile before they give everyone the Tamers movie they are waiting on.

What should have been a clean break from the past instead now requires the future of the anime property to focus exclusively on it. Has there been a bigger disappointment than tri? I'm certain there have been, but logistically, they had all that time to craft a decent tale and flubbed it. So now they needed another film to fix that. And now even that film is sorta pointless. |

A few more details -It's not called "Psi" after all, just "Digimon Adventure:" -It is indeed a back-to-basics reboot, and takes place in 2020 -It will focus on major large scale networks in Tokyo as well as the Digital world -Taichi enters the digital world by train as before, but it's by helping a woman board it while on his way to Shibuya to do something. Tamers is pretty much the Beast Wars of Digimon at this point. The objectively best incarnation that keeps getting overshadowed by the G1 nostalgia.

So... Who is this series for? The nostalgic audience or younger people?
Them deciding to just take the characters and reset everything to today indicates its for school children but keeping it with the original 8 means they want to pander to a group that's now in their 30s and up.
Nostalgia is a dangerous weapon.

Yea idk where they could be going with this but also I saw no need for a reboot at all so I am baffled. I hope for whatever they are going for it is a different take....meaning different villans , different evolutions and not just little changes here and there because if the changes are minimal this is gonna fail and fail hard. I wanna see agumons other evolution lines and not the same ole same ole  GIMME DAT VICTORY GREYMON! And the X-antibodies |

The new card game u get a few seconds to see looks neat never really got into the original heard it was stupidly complicated hope this one is much less so.

So, here's a preview of the new anime.
... yeah, I'm not too down on this. My main issue is that the digital world in this version is cold and sterile, unlike the land of confusion that was the original Adventure. You're literally going to see them fighting in a basic grid of data and "what a computer kind of looks like" that we've seen countless times in fiction. Honestly, the subway system motif is the only interesting thing I got (reminds me of Shinkansen Henkai Robo Shinkalion in how much trains are vital to the story), but I think it'll be dropped early.
