Ok I'll take a break for a minute to not hog all of them.

Oh, two others that I rewound on their VHS tapes as a kid were during the 1992 Rumble, when Flair Irish whips Hogan into the turnbuckle, and as Hogan charges out Flair just whoos at him before he eats a clothesline. I laughed my head off every time. The other was 1993 King of the Ring, the end of Bret/Razor when he counters the back superplex. I had no concept of workrate, but I remember thinking that looked cool.

Ok I'll take a break for a minute to not hog all of them. I’ve seen this match in full only once but I can still hear the back of Shane’s head slapping against the concrete and it makes me feel sick.

The visual of Moxley crawling through broken glass to get to the ropes and escape Omega's submission at Full Gear was such a great variation of the Austin WM13 spot, and really gave that impression of someone who'd do literally anything to win.

A proper execution of what cosplay ripoff wrestler Zack Sabre, Jr. calls the "European Clutch," which develops as an actual organic wrestling and counterwrestling spot instead of a contrived sequence that's as phony and business-exposing as the worst Young Bucks spots are perceived to be. (22:51 if the video doesn't jump there.) It’s a cool spot, but I can still see Bockwinkel rolling back for Billy. Both that and the ZSJ clutch require some mutual cooperation.

Yes, Nick is rolling back, because he's trying to counter the hold and get his shoulders off the mat and maybe get on top. ZSJ's version of the move is performed *so* quick that the nuance of what's happening is completely lost. In World of Sport this set-up can go in a number of different ways. It can end as it does here, or the wrestler in the hold can just roll his feet back and hold them there, daring his opponent let go and grab onto one of them. If he does, the wrestler in the hold can immediately roll away and get up. It's a great cat-and-mouse-style spot that's completely lost on ol' ZSJ.

Controversial picks because of who they feature (not Jericho) but they were both awesome and to both be from the same match is special:

Can someone cue up the gif of Snitsky clotheslining Paul London’s face off at the Royal Rumble. That spot still gets a pop from me
