"The reality is that there's somebody there who is very, very successful, who for whatever reason decided that he didn't want to have anything to do with me because of some of his actions on a personal level. It's one of those weird things, there's no way to address it.
"I've had conversations with WWE over the years. I just got to a point where I just went I'm just done chasing that dragon. Ultimately what is my vision here, is it to be in the WWE or is it to be a big time pro wrestler? One way provides a much quicker path to the other, but it's not the only path."
While Aldis declined to reveal any names, he did admit that no one has confirmed that it is the reason that WWE hasn't signed him. He noted that if he did end up signing with WWE, the person's issues with him would likely hold him back anyway.
"If that's the case, of course no one will confirm or deny it," Aldis noted. "But if that is the case, what would happen if I did go? It wouldn't make any difference if I did go because clearly it would still be problematic. So cool, I'll go over here and make a big deal at something else."
I mean, I can buy Aldis has bad blood with someone, just since otherwise, with his physique and being a half decent wrestler, it's not like he has been worse than some of the people that they have signed, plus his wife works there, so you'd figure it's something.
That said, it also may be a blessing in disguise, just since there's no way he'd be getting anything like his NWA push in WWE. Like, if he was tag champ or something, I'd be genuinely surprised. That's not even me disliking the guy, I like him fine enough, but he's the kind of person where I just don't see him excelling in WWE.

I think he made the right choice by not chasing a WWE spot. It took him some time to grow into the talent he is now and while some may lament his spot at the top of the NWA, he just fits there like a glove.

So what's up wth Mickie anyway? I know she's a commentator for Main Event now, but is it because she's still injured? I thought she'd at least be in the Rumble. I know some wrestlers prefer to bow out quietly, but I think she deserves a proper retirement match if she wants one. She's been a big influence on so many of the current female talents.
I've never seen a wrestler with a bigger persecution complex than Nick Aldis. It can't just be because WWE has no real interest in him or he's not good enough, it HAS to be because someone in WWE is against him. Dude, your wife is Mickie James. She is someone WWE holds in VERY high regard. He's also done himself no favors by basically saying in interviews that WWE is afraid to sign him. WWE's gone on such a hiring spree that they'd sign practically anyone. The fact that they never tried to sign him I think says a lot about him.
