I liked The Tudors as I read a lot about that period of history and was pleased to see that with a handful of exceptions (everyone was thin and beautiful which certainly wouldn't have been the case in a 16th century European court) it was largely historically accurate not just in the stories, a lot of background stuff such as costumes, colloquialisms and pastimes was also covered well.
Anyway I recommend it and for the purposes of this thread it gave the first big breaks to the future Margaery Tyrell and Geralt/Superman, Joss Stone has a one season run in it as well and a few other minor characters were played by big names or those who would become better known.
