Carl Everett definitely deserves a spot on that team's bench.
Also, can we consider Ryan Braun? If only for that time he got dinged in a wellness test in 2011, but won the appeal on a technicality. Only to get wellness'd for real 2 years later.

How about Lenny Dykstra? Chad Curtis and Dave Wetteland can be on there, too, thinking about it. John, not Dave.

Perhaps the only good thing he ever did was openly mock Dan Shaughnessy, which is something the world needs more of. Ryan Braun is also a strong candidate. Let's not forget how he totally dragged the reputation and character of some heretofore anonymous sample collector through the mud AFTER he had his 2011 suspension lifted. It was a real dick move by a guy who had to know the walls were closing in on him.

His teammates on the Phillies didn't like him, media didn't like him. All those awards are great but he was an asshole He's shitty enough to be included post career anyway. That's not even including his comments this week Not just Schilling, but in general, I think we're finding that there's no more sanctimonious, self-serving group than baseball media. You want to talk about assembling a group of all-time d-bags? You could put together a 40-man roster with members of the holier-than-thou BBWAA. Look at the way they completely railroaded one of their own during the summer of 1998 because it was "ruining the story" of Mark McGwire's chase of Roger Maris' home run record, even though the bigger story was staring them square in the face. Look at how they claim to know every nuance of the game, down to how a pitcher's arm angle has been altered because he's tiring, but didn't notice players in the 90s and early 2000s were showing up with an extra 40 pounds of muscle and asking how that happened. Look at how they'll keep legitimate Hall of Famers off of their ballots because "He didn't talk to me that one night after he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts." So you'll have to excuse me if I take "the media didn't like him" with a Pacific Ocean-sized grain of salt. I remember a previously skinny as hell Nomar Garciaparra shirtless on the cover of SI suddenly looking like the Ultimate Warrior and nobody questioning that one bit. The finger wagging in hindsight is off the charts rediculous. Yeah guys, you were around locker rooms/clubhouses every day and had absolutely no idea that there was something amiss?

I was in a news writing class in college many years ago, and a guest speaker told us about his first sports interview, where he asked Lenny Dykstra a question, and Lenny proceeded to spit on his shoes. That’s probably not even in the top 50 things that prove Lenny is a douchebag.

His rep is so bad that the defamation lawsuit he filed against Ron Darling, the judge told him essentially your reputation is bad that it can't be further tarnished Keep in mind he's still saying Ron Darling faked cancer

Yeah, Lenny "I'm gonna ask Twitter what countries I can't be extradited from" Dykstra has to be in the starting lineup

Yeah, the list can be whatever we want it to be, pre or post career.
Forgot about Wetteland and Dykstra.
Carl Everett is also a good one.

So, Cora and Hinch get suspended for a year and whether the season was played or not, their suspension was going to be upheld and they were able to return next year
However, Yankees Pitcher Domingo German is suspended for this year and 3 games next year for the games he had to serve due to domestic violence. So if season wouldn't have been played he would had to serve his suspension next year
Kind of makes no sense to have two diff rules. Not that i'm defending this fool tho, Yanks should been cut him

Sources are saying on opening day, the defending champion Washington Nationals will host the New York Yankees If I'm MLB, I'm putting as many "marquee" games as I can in the first week of the season. I know MLB isn't a national sport anymore, so maybe there aren't any matchups aside from Yankees/Astros (which can't happen) that would draw national interest, but due to their own greed they only have 6 days to themselves before the NBA starts. They need to make the best out of those 6 days, especially if they get a bunch of nationally televised games during that week. Once the NBA starts, they'll go right back to their regional niche, which is fine in a sense since that is their business model and it makes them money, but man, there was so much more potential if they started the season July 4th. Although, with Florida being Florida, maybe their greed caught them a break.

I don't get how people don't get that "spring training" this month isn't the same as normal and there aren't going to be a whole bunch of games played, If they actually paid attention to what the mlb said or did a qick google search, they would know that

And the Minor League season is canceled. Knew it was coming but it still sucks. And it's particularly sucks for us here in Rhode Island. Two years ago I was devastated when the Pawsox announced they were moving to Worcester to become this monstrosity: As disappointed as I was I vowed to go to as many games as I could before they left. I even brought a ticket to the Final Game which was scheduled on Sept. 7th all the way back in March. I was determined to be there at the end. But that was all blown to hell. Ironically I did witness the Pawsox's final game as I attended the season finale in 2019. It was a thrilling game to as Cole Sturgeon hit 3 homers, including the walk off blast in the 10th, to lead the Pawsox past the Iron Pigs. But if I knew that it would be the last I'd see of them I'd have done more to take it in. There is an outside chance that they could stay next season. The pandemic halted construction of the Worcester ballpark and it may not be ready by opening day 2021 but I'm not holding out hope. There was also talk about luring another team here, maybe from A ball, but with all the talk of contracting Minor League teams it also looks unlikley. So that's it? 50 years, a lifetime of memories and this is how it f***ing ends? We don't even get a chance to say goodbye? I know compared to what many others have lost a Minor League Baseball team is small potatoes. But it still hurts.

Yeah I usually look forward to minor league ball just as much as MLB during the baseball season. It’s going to look very different beginning next year and beyond. Not only will Manfred get his dream of cutting X amount of affiliates, but how many minor league teams can actually survive a full season of no revenue? I have a bad feeling Covid is going to do some real damage to the minors but hopefully they can bounce back.
