Michael Kay brought up a good point: a lot of the staff members who work the stadiums as ushers and vendors in Spring Training stadiums are senior citizens. This is about protecting them as much as players and fans.

Damn, I had seen where he was listed as out for a non-baseball injury. What a tough blow for anyone to deal with. Wish him the best.

Yea, people thought something was going on because they weren't saying what he was out for. Wish him nothing but the best

Astros were praying for some sort of distraction. Looks like they just got it so they can make off like bandits in the night again

I guess my eventual disappointment at the Philadelphia Phillies yet another year will have to wait, how sad...

Minor league baseball isn't happening, either.

Predicting a slightly shortened season with approx 128 games with the interleague games only involving teams that are in the same division (Example NL East team vs AL East Team)

now predicting an shortened 110 game season ala the 1981 strike shortened season with no interleague play (1 team has to play in the opposite league for the season in order for this to work, example: Reds temporary move to the AL central for the season)

A Yankees minor leaguer tested positive for the virus, becoming the first known pro baseball player to have it. Fortunately he didn't spend any time at the major leaguer side of the Yankees' Tampa facility, but they're testing his teammates and they've gone into self-quarantine.

My guess is season starts up in June, they cancel the AS break, and have a shortened season. Good news is less games might help fan interest, but bad news is they might have to compete directly with the NBA through the summer.
These are crazy times.

Well hey on the bright side with a shorter season the mariners record won't look as bad as it should be.
