I wonder if Dr. Phil is a wrestling fan. Because he isn't an actual medical doctor nor does he have any sort of doctorate degree so he might just be qualified to treat Sunny if he meets that criteria! Dr. Phil has a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas But he plays a shrink on tv! Hard to take him seriously. Even Britt Baker DMD has more credibility than him. |

Academically, he's well-qualified as a clinical psychologist, and can certainly write about psychology. However, he let his license to practice as a clinician lapse some years ago, so he is very, _very_ careful not to diagnose guests on his show with any mental disorder, nor does he refer to the DSM in his discussions with guests - because he's _not_ currently licensed as a therapist. |

Every time that they lock her up and release without actually addressing the root cause of her addiction she’s one day closer to driving drunk and killing an innocent motorist/pedestrian, herself, or both. I want her to get clean for public safety, I don’t have high hopes though. What are they really going to do at this point? Short of death she’s suffered about every negative consequence one could as a result of alcoholism. She’s had ample opportunities for treatment, and she’s still young enough there could be substantial opportunities for her if she cleaned up. She just isn’t interested. Change has to come from her, and all signs are she doesn’t give a shit. I agree. She has to truly want help first, until then the roads and highways are hers to terrorize. |

This is the single biggest piece missing. Sunny has to want to get better. I've watched hundreds of people get court ordered treatment and it was nothing more than a revolving door for them, because they themselves did not have the desire to get better. I've also seen two guys that of their own accord finally decided to kick their addiction, and without a court order or any external compulsion, did it. The criminal justice system is the absolute wrong venue to address addiction. Fighting human desire with lawyers and courts and lockups, will never work. |

I’m sure someone has mentioned DDP but if sunny had wanted to get better then no doubt the two of them would have made contact. I mean jake and Scott hall called him not the other way around. Terroristic treats is a new angle though.
