I kinda hope they just said "F It" and are going with a grandiose over-the-top finale with all sorts of wacky bullshit rather than trying to keep the current version of the film franchise going. It's looking like they might do it. I hope it ends with Raptors learning how to talk and getting freakin' laser beams attached to their heads.
Been a long time since I saw a big budget B level movie with quality acting and effects. This could be it.

I thought they should've done a time jump of a century or two and now the world looks like Cadillacs & Dinosaurs.

So glad somebody finally had the balls to ask the hard question that the other five movies asked.

I know this is a big dumb action movie but every time these films imply mankind will face extinction if the dinosaurs get loose I think of every apex predator we've wiped out and how we have to spend millions to protect mega fauna from poachers. Want to stop the T-rexes from taking over? Start a rumor that their teeth cure ED.

“The biggest carnivore the world has ever seen!”
Who approved that line!?
It’s not even the biggest carnivore in the f***ing trailer!

“The biggest carnivore the world has ever seen!” Who approved that line!? It’s not even the biggest carnivore in the f***ing trailer! I laughed too. But still, I love big dumb movies with dinosaurs. If I recall the biggest carnivore ever is a blue whale (also the biggest animal ever period). If you want to pretend that doesn't count and want to only count shit with pointy teeth then it's a sperm whale and arguably the Basilosaurus. But that's also 30 year old knowledge that my brain hasn't been accessing for a long ass time. Note, I'm also ignoring the sea monster in the movies/trailer that's basically a kaiju level of size.

I expect a perfectly dumb movie so that’s why I’m only considering watching this in 4DX…

This film is testing me. FK was the drizzling shits. That being said, I have to admit I’ve liked the trailers. The nostalgia players are obviously tempting. And I remember learning about Giganotosaurus in elementary school and always “fantasy booking” it in a Jurassic park movie. Sigh. Can’t believe this trilogy has mainly been about a f***ing raptor named “Blue”.
I’m going to try my damndest to resist going until I read trusted reviews.

Gigantosaurs? I thought they said that in the Jurassic Park world and the real world that Spinosaurus was an Apex Predator and compared to or surpassed T-Rex.

Did they ever explain how the world got re-populated with dinosaurs even though there was only like 10 dinosaurs in total that got released from that weird millionaire auction.

To be fair a trilogy being about a Raptor named Blue is still at least one million times less bat shit crazy then what Spielberg was discussing JP4 to be about. It does seem the basic idea was tweaked though but the word going around a long while back was he was going to have it involve dinosaurs created specifically to be instruments of war…or human/dinosaur hybrid soldiers and a human soldier brought in by the company to train them. Seems like it was streamlined into Chris Pratt: Dinosaur Whisperer.

Life finds a way… When a boy dinosaur loves a girl dinosaur very much..... They still haven't explained why people were getting dinosaurs for rock bottom prices during FK. Rick Harrison popped on screen and said InGen was getting ripped off. They still haven't explained how the dinos managed to live without lysine. They quickly yadda yadda'd over it in the second novel, the original movie makes passing reference to it and ignores it forever. Don't think about these movies, thinking just ruins them.

The lysine contingency is like T-Rex's vision being based on movement, Crichton realised it made no sense when writing The Lost World so he glossed over it.

Did they ever explain how the world got re-populated with dinosaurs even though there was only like 10 dinosaurs in total that got released from that weird millionaire auction. Life finds a way… Same reason San Francisco had hundreds of great apes in the city in Rise of the Planet of the Apes (most zoos don’t have a troop of gorillas or chimps with more than 6 or 7 members) and the gorillas and orangutans were able to breed after escaping despite every one shown on screen being male. And apes are even slower at breeding than humans, as a female ape will only raise one offspring until it’s 3 or 4 years old. BECAUSE.

Sarah Harding explained that herbivores eat lysine in plants, then carnivores eat the herbivores.
It's also possible that Henry Wu made a mistake, like the frog DNA, and he botched the procedure which made them lysine deficient in the first place. The same sort of unexpected mutations may also explain the T-rex vision thing.
