Schiavone being considered best announcer alongside his fellow AEW announcer Excalibur and NJPW’s Kevin Kelly is kinda cool.

I guess my biggest issue, aside from Fiend winning Best Gimmick, is Rey Fenix winning Mexico MVP. He is not a regular on the scene. He is more of a special attraction. I voted for Blue Demon Jr. who was the key talent driving AAA last year, along with Dr. Wagner Jr.

Wyatt’s really racking up these worst match wins... Dude’s won three of the last six (cage match with Cena in 2014, WM33 title match with Orton in 2017, Hell In A Cell with Rollins in 2019), and now he’s only one behind Hogan for the all-time lead in the category.

I don't know which one is funnier
Daniel Bryan coming in 2nd to another guy for an award named after HIMSELF (or at least his former ring name)
OR
The Fiend managing to win Best gimmick and also placing 3rd for worst gimmick

Man that Hell in a Cell is a well deserved worst match winner. Match was total stupidity. Jericho still out here doing his thing ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)

Not only are the matches stinkers, there’s always some gimmicky bullshit attached to them to really burn that shit into your memory and make you hate it.

I love that The Fiend won Best Gimmick and placed third for Worst Gimmick.

Worst match was a tough choice. Fiend/Rollins was clearly the worst booked whereas Taker/Goldberg was the worst worked.

I'd argue Goldberg vs. Taker could've been worst booked, too. Because what the hell were they thinking booking two older dudes who aren't exactly in prime athletic shape in an outdoor show in a f***ing desert?

Voting Beth in the top 3 of worst announcers 🙄 Just saw that, kind of a bummer. I really like Beth as a color commentator, there's no way she's worse than Lawler. Ah well, to each their own.

There's way worse than Beth, but she's just there for me. Granted being "just there" makes her one of the best commentators in WWE.

Colby Covington not getting Worst Gimmick and Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic is bullshit. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the guy. But UFC saw so little value in him they offered to just buy out his contract, and with his “gimmick change” he became one of the hottest acts in the promotion. Also seeing him eat shit from Usman was glorious, particularly when Colby tried to cheapen the win by claiming it was an early stoppage and Dana was like “nah”.

They have Lesnar as #2 on that list for box office and to me the guy is such anti box office at this point it's not even funny. But then I find it bizarre that AEW won all this stuff when the TV show was around about 3 months of 2019 yet won Best TV Show. I can see Dynamite being a front runner for 2020 in that category, but for 2019 the body of work just isn't there for it.

Chris Jericho as best box office draw is puzzling. He's the champion of a show that gets under a million viewers and tarps off half the arena most weeks. There's a bunch of WWE people that are bigger draws than him as well as the top Japanese stars like Okada/Naito/Tanahashi. I get it,not many full timers move the needle and Jericho helped put AEW on the map while being a consistent draw in segments.

My two main takeaways... - Jericho absolutely deserves wrestler of the year. A fantastic achievement. - Kofi got hosed by the timing of these awards. From January to October he was one of the best things in wrestling, and there's barely a mention of him. This is what I usually dislike about fan votes. Like if there is one for games. Well one released in january the other in December, one still has a hype behind it

What are the criteria for the box office draw award? From looking over past winners, it looks like it's more of a "favorite top star/favorite person the company is financially dependent on," which makes more sense for a voted-on award than awarding based on raw numbers.

If 100% of the wrestlers in WWE were replaced tomorrow, it would draw the same. Don't believe me? They brought in someone who has wrestled maybe 4 times in the last decade and made them the world champion and got the most likes ever on their instagram. Why? Because he's a WCW re-tread who is more over then anyone on their roster.

It's a fan vote of WON subscribers, so they're going to vote for what they liked or didn't like.
