Yeah, I would've preferred Hager vs. Cody going forward. The man did break his brother's hand. It would be a good feud for both men, while Moxley feuded with PAC.

Moxley is feuding with the Inner Circle. He beat Sammy, Ortiz, Santana, Jericho, and is now moving on to Hagar.

I have absolutely no objections to Mox becoming the unofficial lineal Lucha Underground Champion. Holy shit, I completely forgot Hager was the last LU Champion. I think I’ve tried forgetting that last season and I went to tapings of it too. As a lot have mentioned, it makes sense for a lot of different reasons. Probably smart to give Hager his first loss via the top guy/champion right now. I’m just not feeling Hager. I’m trying to. I like the silent enforcer thing. I like the MMA crossover. But something doesn’t click. I’ve had trouble investing in him since he debuted in ECW as Swagger. To me, his pinnacle was the “We The People” stuff.

If anybody can get me to care about Hager, it's Moxley.

Hager has won me over so much, he carries himself like a legitimate threat and being around Jericho has seemingly rehabilitated his career somewhat. I don't think he's going to be one of AEW's main attractions or anything, but as someone that's around who can always be a threat then he's perfect in that position.

I was excited to see AEW give Hager another shot but I've been kinda bored by him in the ring. It makes sense for Moxley to be fighting him, but I'd rather he move onto someone else, preferably not ex-WWE
