Click HereNot that it matters as much being what we are dealing with and what the companies are doing just to give up shows. But those who like to see the numbers for the week. AEW did 819,000. Not that ratings matter as much now but just fun to look at. I really don't look hard into them until things go back to normal. (Sorry having issues with image showing up, so I linked it)

Kinda hard to make great shows with a skeleton roster tbh.
Travel issue really hurt them, AEW bench had Austin Gunn, Beaver Boys, Penelope and Brandi(talent that did not wrestle), imagine filling the card with Penelope vs Brandi for example.....

Where was Page? Could he not get to the venue? I can see the Bucks not being able to get out of CA right now. That's one advantage of NXT. Everyone is at least down in FL so it's fairly easy to book talent, whereas AEW has people from all over the country (and world) flying in.
But hey, looking at that list AEW was still the #2 non news show on cable last night.

We don’t need to keep apologizing for posting viewership numbers. It’s just stats

I honestly thought wrestling shows would have more viewers with quarentine but they all dropped somewhat.

Dont apologize for viewership threads, we like seeing them
That being said it doesn't shock me these numbers were a bit middle of the road, they didn't have a ton to work with, I imagine the end segment got some eyes though

NXT was 56th overall on the rankings this week on Wednesday with 669,000 viewership. This is with them going away from the giant clipshow format as well and going back to attempting to advance storylines.
So they were out of the top 50 which means their demos weren't even broken down on showbuzz... yeesh... but AEW beat them in 18-49's demo .34 to .20 there's that.

We don’t need to keep apologizing for posting viewership numbers. It’s just stats Yeah, it's harmless, plus people are curious. Interesting numbers. I know the overlap is definitely far from 100 percent, but it at least sounds like some people who skipped the NXT clip show last week maybe have been watching Dynamite, so that'd account for some dropoff this week. Obviously, a bunch of stuff likely plays into it, but I imagine it's still part of it.

Hey look at it this way, 819,000 people saw a damn good match between Omega and Guevara that was allowed time to breath, and gave Sammy time to shine.
819,000 people saw Jericho cut a promo on a drone, and Matt Hardy be magic.
Those were some lucky people.

Seems pretty good to me. Nothing is really shooting through the roof ratings wise even with everyone at home, except for news I guess. People must be streaming and playing games or something. 🤷🏻♂️

Last weeks show breakdown
Q1: Elite opening the show, MJF promo: 982K Q2: Best Friends vs Lucha Bros: 956K Q3: Women 4 way match, Colt slaps Sabian: 947K Q4: Butcher and Blade vs Jurassic Express: 874K Q5: End of BB vs JE, Brodie debuts: 892K Q6: Jake Roberts promo, Archer killing jabronies: 941K Q7: First of Elite vs IC: 941K Q8: End of Elite vs IC, Matt debuts: 926K
I think AEW should use more cinematics, fans seems to be digging them.

Isn't that pretty damn good under the circumstances? o,O Weren't they even lower one week when Corona stole the show. Yeah the show on the week where everything major starts shutting down did 766,000 viewers and last week was 932,000 but it was against a clip show NXT and a more stacked line up. This week had a good second hour. Which was the Sammy vs Omega match and the Jericho/ Matt Hardy segment. A lot of this show was almost last min thrown together because Blood and Guts being moved mainly.

Only thing that really dropped viewers off was Butcher and Blade vs Jurassic Express and I kinda blame that on Butcher and Blade not having a ton of connectivity right now. I really think Butcher as an eventual solo act is gonna be more interesting if they go that route. They did get more fans near the end though. I bet you the small amount that tuned out before Matt debuted kicked themselves a bit

I thought Matt debuting last week would bring in a few more viewers instead of losing some. With everyone home I figured they would do over 900,000 again.
They don't seem to be losing their core audience so that's good. All in all not a bad number.

I think people are just kind of over empty arena wrestling right now. Same thing as happened to Raw this week really, last week it got a curiosity bump, this week it plunged. AEW wasn't really that bad, more kind of around their usual ballpark, but still, think the novelty factor's worn off and now people just want to wait until there's some semblance of normalcy again.
