You're part of the iwc, pal. yes, but the wwe doesnt give a hoot about the die hards that are on places like here as they know the majority of them will watch the shows out of habit...all they care about it grabbing/appealing to the casuals who are more than likely not be aware of (or care) what someone says on twitter/whatever That’s not really the case anymore. People have been tuning out lately.

Jeez, it’s a bit of a Sophie’s Choice here, isn’t it? Either you give the belt to the guy who outed himself as a bit of an insensitive ass at the worst possible time, or it stays on the 50-something year old part-timer, who was never the best worker to start with and only gone downhill with age, for however long this thing lasts (because if he wins, it ain’t leaving him until Reigns feels it’s safe to return). I’d just put it on Strowman now, to be honest. I know he shouldn’t be getting rewarded like this, but it’s probably better off for the company as a whole. So Goldberg’s totally winning.

Going by Brauns track record, probably Can't be worse then the no offense he got against Brock at Saudi

I think he should be focusing on Malcom Bivens' new tag team right now!

Ehh He said some shitty shit he shouldn't have said and realized he is wrong. Also to counteract the whole “misinterpreting what he said idea”, he didn’t clarify what he meant when he said it so unless he comes out and says what he means and apologizes, it’s full reign to what people take from it. That’s why he needs to have a wide reaching apology. That seems a pretty shit deal. People should hate on him for what he said, which was insensitive. It doesn't give anyone the right to extrapolate and project a bunch of much worse opinions onto him.

I think he should be focusing on Malcom Bivens' new tag team right now! And maybe perhaps getting a sideplate for his title. Even the standard one would be better than having Undisputed ERA on it.

You have to be careful on what you say and how you say it because it reflects badly on you and the company you work for. There’s a lot of people who have said worse stuff during this period who, even with apologies, aren’t going to be able to live that down because of their status. That’s just honestly how it is. But also, fact is, there’s a lot of meaning and context you can give and even Braun’s follow ups didn’t so much do it as, to me, make him seem way more insensitive because he’s a guy whose lived through what others are going through and should know better.

The general audience don't even know or care about Braun's recent comments. When they start doing arena shows again, he's still going to be hugely over and cheered when he shows up with the title ( if he wins). All is always forgiven when it comes to WWE fans ex: Hulk Hogan's recent appearences Personlly I always like Braun and I think he's a logicly choise to replace Reigns, I think he could pull something entertain out of Goldberg this, the iwc thinks theyre a large part of the audience, the casuals dont care or get bogged down with things what they say on the internet What even is a casual fan at this point? It's certainly not the people paying money to go to the shows, because pretty much any time an indie name debuts the place explodes, smark chants happen all the goddamn time, and house show attendance - which was always the big domain of casuals during the Cena and Roman dominance - have been falling off so much they drastically cut them down even before all this happened.

You're talking as though these are some laws of the universe, and not people just exaggerating what someone has said in order to further justify how mad they are at him. It doesn't matter whether Braun is in the public eye or not, judge him on what he actually said. There was enough there to be annoyed about as it is.

There's going to be some interesting documentaries and shoot interviews about this Wrestlemania in years to come.

Can we say that this is unanimously the craziest WM build ever? I'm watching purely for how it'll be rather than any of the storylines. I remember February 1997 being an absolutely crazy month heading into Wrestlemania 13 but it's got nothing on what's been happening the last few weeks.

Given the current potential list of wrestlers that could be off this show, I need to ask... How do they even have a means to make this a sustainable Mania? Let alone a two night Mania?? This is kind of getting ridiculous. It's becoming hard to fathom what this could even look like... Braun swapped in for Roman, NXT wrestler for Andrade, drop women’s tag, and the SD Tag becomes a singles match.

FWIW, they’re not addressing it on Smackdown tonight (as it was taped before this was dropped).

The guy who said KO and listed a bunch of others is wrong because Meltzer confirmed KO worked.

Mondays have been the de facto wrestling night for 30+ years at this point. It’s going to have an audience that spans generations. Wednesdays have never had that so it takes time to adjust audiences to the fact there is wrestling on that slot. Hell, the reason AEW originally wanted Tuesdays was because WWE had put Smackdown, ECW and NXT there in the past so it wasn’t going to get Raw’s audience but they weren’t exactly building from practically nothing either.

The only thing that would make this the greatest Mania of all time would be for Goldberg to beat Braun in the main event and then a wild Hogan appears to check on Braun...
