After cutting off all their fingers, they moved to cutting off their toes

They keep doing this shit "Why can't we get kids to like us?" "Go ahead and throw another kids' movie on the fire." The worst thing is that this probably happened during the strike and they didn’t want to say anything to look bad. Which then makes Zaslav’s comments more out of touch.

I guess footage from it will ultimately be used as stock footage in another movie If it's another Batgirl-style tax write-down, the footage effectively won't belong to WB to use in any form.

This loophole about getting tax breaks for not releasing movies has to go away. And so does Zaslav.

Is Zaslav sitting there with a straight face telling us nobody wanted to buy a Wily E. Coyote movie starring John Cena?

They keep doing this shit I’m not huge into movies in the first place, but I was excited for this one. Love Wile E Coyote. Oh well, I’m more than used to disappointment.

The annoying thing about that Looney Toons movie is that everyone who saw footage of it says it was great. It apparently tested really well too, so it's not even like they had a stinker on their hands.
It was also co-written by James Gunn, which goes to show that even projects from senior people under the WBD umbrella aren't safe from this shit.

Gunn had better be re-reading the fine print of his contract, because with the chances he's taking pushing some of DC's more obsure characters to the forefront are bound to make the suits nervous.

That really makes no sense, unless Zaslav wasn't going to get his bonus at the way things were going.

Bullshit like this is why I'm paying for league pass for NBA games and not Max.
I don't care if it's cheaper, I don't want to give even a cent to Jackasslav...

I’ve been interested in that movie since I read the synopsis a long time ago. It wouldn’t have bombed at that cost between theaters and home media.
But why risk it when someone will pay you to waste everyone’s efforts and kill interest in your company?

Maybe he realized the movie was about him.
In that respect…have to give him more credit than Harvey Weinstein who produced and released Scream 3…a movie about the effects of the casting couch, sleazy producers and the broken sexual politics of Hollywood.

"They just disappeared. One moment they were there, the next they were suddenly gone with no warning. Like a ghost, or a tv show on HBOMax. Everything's fine in this company. Everything's fine." - John Oliver That quote was from March. Oliver could really dedicate an entire episode to the shit that new Business Daddy has pulled since taking over. In that respect…have to give him more credit than Harvey Weinstein who produced and released Scream 3…a movie about the effects of the casting couch, sleazy producers and the broken sexual politics of Hollywood. It's funny watching that movie again, and seeing what Wes got away with because the studio didn't notice. {Spoiler}He got away with Milton being Weinstein obviously. But there only being one killer and it making no sense was also a middle finger. There was supposed to be 2 killers, but the studio kept fighting Wes, it's a reason there was that scene where Jenny McCarthy's character complained about constant rewrites. The movie had to be heavily censored thanks to Columbine, and the studio apparently wanted only one killer. The problem was most of the movie was shot already with the payoff being 2 killers. Instead of redoing those scenes Wes said "f*** it, I ain't changing any of the kills." So we've got a teleporting killer, the pulse fakeout, and the person who was supposed to be the 2nd killer disappearing at random times which would have made sense if they were a killer, all thanks to the studio.

They keep doing this shit Imagine cancelling a well-tested movie featuring one of your most reliable brands (behind Batman and, I guess, Harry Potter) and directed by the guy who is supposed to save the DC brand for you. I couldn't imagine being an up-and-coming director and having any faith in Warner actually letting my work make it to theaters.
