I don't care if you Americans are going to be all like "OOOOOOH, WE HAVE TOO MANY STREAMING SERVICES NOW! WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER ONE!"
I'd pretty much kill all of you to get a subscription service that has every Cartoon Network show and Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera thing ever made.
And we're not even going to get it until 2022 because of international rights. Blech.

Not available here, probably won’t ever be, but sounds like most exclusives are gonna be picked up in Canada by Crave so go Crave.

I glanced at the thread title and read it as "Hobo Max".
I thought there was a movie about a hobo named Max.
I'm disappointed.

I think the price tag of $14.99 is gonna be an obstacle. Nevermind that every tweet they make has the tired Snyder cut response.
But hey, I'll try it.

Is this the one getting Doctor Who? And the Studio Ghibli films. It has a very compelling bunch of content, and is the same price HBO was on its own.

Is there any kind of free trial period with this thing, like a week or something like that? I know AT&T and whatnot have promotions that give you a free month or free three months, but for your basic end user who doesn't deal with any of those companies, will there be any brief trial period of say, 1-2 weeks, or do you have to pay right from the jump?

I don’t know that it has been announced, but I’m pretty sure HBO now did one month trials.

Still think the name is going to be the thing that kills this. Just screams "Wii U"

I'll probably dabble with it at some point but there's absolutely no chance it'll be something I keep up at all times with the price it's at.
And yeah, the name thing is a mess. Any time I try to Google info on this thing it always takes me forever to remember which of the 80 HBO spinoffs it is.

There’s still no announcement about who in Canada is getting the Studio Ghibli films, Crave makes sense but there’s been no word on it yet and they wouldn’t be included in the Crave/HBO deal

I’m now interested at the preorder price of 11.99.
Definitely considering it.

Might as well use this as an All Purpose thread because something's been officially confirmed;
Almost two years after it had its first trailer as a TBS show, JG Quintel's Close Enough will be a HBO Max Original on July 9th.

That show got messed up by being apart of TBS’s prime time cartoon block they were trying to do a few years ago because the block had one show starring Louie CK. And once all his..well you know, gross shit came out, TBS disowned the entire thing and only Final Space survived whole thing. Glad to see the show getting a chance at life at least.
