I'm all signed up. Doom Patrol and JL Dark were enough for me.

So anyone know if classic content owned by HBO will be available, not just HBO shows, something like Get Smart. I got the whole series on DVD, would love to have it stream, so I can watch an episode anytime I want without having to turn on the DVD player.

Not sure if it's going to all be there at launch, but they did specify that it would contain classic Warner-owned television.

Though I just realized,Get Smart is the perfect show be on HBO Max, you know Max. Ha ha. Well as far other Warner shows go, stuff from the 90's like Family Matters and Step By Step they are on Hulu, so that might not be there right away.

They actually launched this thing without Roku or Fire Stick access. In these uncertain times™, that seems dumb as hell.

Like others have said, they're trying to make a deal with Roku, but who knows how long that will take. I don't understand why you don't make sure that's in order before you launch. Roku is the largest streaming platform and you're going to launch without that?

Everything about this feels like they jumped the gun by about 6 months.

They have a Bosco cartoon on it, wow.
Still though no Get Smart, I am really disappointed. I was pumped for that.
Edit: I checked,it is not a Bosco cartoon but a Foxy cartoon which is not the different, yet no Tom and Jerry cartoons that has Manny Two Shoes.

HBO Max has content for kids AND adults, anime, and a steady stream of original content throughout the summer.
I don't see how Disney+ is going to compete with that.

Eh, the "no Roku or Fire Stick" thing has somewhat overshadowed HBO's launch. Also, if you go to HBO's 'Last Chance' section, it looks like a few decent choices are already leaving. Those including things like the Batman movies, Us, Justice League, Ma, Braveheart, etc. HBO Max does have the potential to be great, but right now I'd say it's disappointing to mediocre on launch. Plus, Disney owns half of the planet and could always buy whatever else they need to make their service better. Side note: Where the hell is Tales From the Crypt or Dream On? I'm assuming HBO doesn't 100% own these properties? I remember watching Tales From the Crypt episodes on our local Fox station when I was a kid, so does Fox own some of the Tales From the Crypt pie?

Already subbed to HBO via Directv, so I get access to it. Ready for it to get strike a deal with Roku or my Smart TV, but I can use Chromecast. Wish Warner Media would drop their DC streaming service and move over that stuff to HBO Max.

Why the f*** aren't the classic episodes of Sesame Street in the Featured section with the rest of the Sesame Street stuff?

If a niche like the WWE Network is still around and kicking after all these years, the streaming platforms of these titanic corporations aren't ever going under.

HBO Max is included free with a lot of things. I’m not even paying for it. How do they expect to make money giving away so much for free while they’re throwing $20-30 million at crap like the Snyder Cut to move subscriptions?

Will the fact that it's not on Roku or FireStick and not having 4K or HDR at launch hurt HBO Max?
