And of course, most of the people who worked on these cartoons weren't even told about it. They learned about it ON TWITTER. And shows like Summer Camp Island, whose new season was set to air, just got shitcanned out of nowhere.

I swear, if Infinity Train and Close Enough just vanish into the ether, I'm going to be so pissed.

Unless they were given some sort of media outside the service, there will be no legal way to obtain some of these programs that benefit the creators.

I said it before, but even though he hasnt worked for Turner since 2006, I feel bad for Ted Turner having to see what's been happening to his company, I know he couldn't anticipate this disaster happening.

How does NOBODY who gets their hands on this f***ing company knows what to do with it?

Zaslav was the chosen one! He was supposed to bring balance to HBO MAX, not leave it in darkness!
(the sad thing is, I'm not just quoting Star Wars, these are my actual thoughts)

F*** them for removing OK KO and Infinity Train. Two shows that deserved a hell of a lot more than they got.

How does NOBODY who gets their hands on this f***ing company knows what to do with it? At this point, might as well wait until Disney decided they want the rights to DC Comic and Looney Tunes and buy the remains of Discovery Warners

Man I feel for all the creators here, but especially J.G. Quintel. All that he had to go through just to get Close Enough to air at all, and not only cancelled after 3 seasons but loses its legal access forever.

I wanna hope that these shows will find a way back online eventually, or be streaming elsewhere, but I have zero hopes in general that any media corpo will do that, and less than zero in Discovery.
It's wild that digital streaming was supposed to be a liberation for viewers, and instead of gave media conglomerates exactly what they've wanted since the advent of the VCR: a way to prevent average people from having access to open media that they can own. Can't say I'm all that surprised.

The same problems that people been dealing with in the video game industry for the last 10 years are now finally happening elsewhere like what were seeing now.

Keep circulating the tapes til Netflix or Hulu acquires the rights?

It certainly is a heady mix of Warner Bros underperforming and Discovery being moronic thugs

It certainly is a heady mix of Warner Bros underperforming and Discovery being moronic thugs it's absolutely AT&T looking at Disney and thinking... yeah we could do that... that's easy.. just aquire the rights to things and the money comes rolling in! and then... like not putting any of the groundwork that Disney put down... and doing constant stupid mistakes with the rollouts like not putting them on Roku or Amazon Fire despite them being about 80% of what people stream on... and naming it HBO Max while HBO Now and HBO Plus were ALSO apps. that's not even getting into the shit show was them buying DirecTV... like books will be written about just how badly AT&T Botched HBO Max. and I'm beginning to suspect that a few chapters will also include Discovery's botching of the transition...

Hell, at this rate it will be an entire book.

I worded that completely wrong originally I wrote that an entire other book would be on the Discovery shit show... but changed it back but didn't change the beginning... I'm tired >_> Zaslav is the absolute WORST person to have been put in charge of this, and the sooner the discovery people realize this the better it will likely be for everyone.
