I just thought of this. How the hell are they going to screw up Sesame Street? Speaking of which, over 200 episodes were just removed. That's right. You read that correctly. Over 200 episodes gone.

If Sesame Street can get better money elsewhere I say do it. Cause I was looking it up and it said in 2016 it was for 5 tv seasons. Though I see one article that says in 2019 its a 5 year deal so who the hell knows.

Given the state of everything, I doubt that's the case. It just really seems like they're just pulling damn near everything.

Educational? People of color? Poor people not being treated as a sideshow? All sounds like things on the hitlist.

This doofus is setting himself up for accusations of racism with his cuts and now he's gonna take heat off of Marvel for not paying their creators residuals too. Damn this guy is an idiot. He's the Jim Herd of streaming services.

He's the Jim Herd of streaming services. Jim Starlin claimed DC paid him more money for BvS using KGBeasts civilian name for a character than Marvel paid for Thanos and every related character/story. So there should be be a happy medium between the two. Not that I think this guy is looking for that.

He's looking to pinch pennies to help deal with the debt.

If I was Sesame Workshop, I'd set up a streaming service consisting of EVERY episode and every special. Now there may be rights issues involved with some stuff (ie, they possibly couldnt include the batman/superman/jughead shorts, they may have to remove the Simpsons from Monster in the Mirror, and I dont know if they could keep the Kermit stuff even), but for the most part it would be an easy way to bring the show into the streaming generation.

There is a version without the celebrities.

How do you f*** up sesame street?!?!?! Well jettison the screen time for various classic characters, take the edge off of the segments, and make it all about Elmo and about selling toys to kids rather than education.... Oh wait, that was pre-HBO. Well the 30 min. cut down...that IS on them. I'd say jettisoning the classic human regulars too...but in retrospect I couldn't even with an ep. explaining Luis' passing too...

(Any chance Paramount+ can pick it up to go with the CBS version?) Again I'm going to consider The Mouse the lesser of two conglomorates as they aren't dumping things willy nilly.

And everyone said I was crazy for being wary of streaming only.
This purge sounds straight up awful. This Zaslov guy sounds like a really assclown.

"I get the vague sense that you're burning down my network for the insurance money, but I'm sure that will pass." - John Oliver.
Oliver's joke is looking more and more correct.
