Sounds like PA is closing bars again unless you serve food. And if you serve food indoor seating is cut to 25% capacity.
Yesterday was a big jump for cases in PA (not overly shocking) but not surprised. Bars were the places that were not listening.

Apparently a group of my state's bowling alley owners are now suing our governor over the shutdown. They want to be "spared" from the 50 person limit. Oh boy. Let's hope they roll a gutter ball.

Rose parade has been cancelled, that’s 1/1/21, no end in sight.

Following Walmart's lead
Kroger stores will require all customers in all locations to wear a mask when shopping starting July 22, joining its employees who continue to wear masks, according to a statement from the company.
“We are taking this extra step now because we recognize additional precautions are needed to protect our country,” the statement from Kroger said Wednesday. “As an employer, grocery provider and community partner, we have a responsibility to help keep our associates, customers and communities safe.”
too bad I'm planning a grocery run before then but hopefully it'll ease my stress levels in August.

Governor got on TV and chastised the counties for f***ing up and causing Kansas numbers to skyrocket. Essentially said that the legislature and several counties are being complete morons. Issues a new order that School cannot start until after labor day and only if they meet all of the guidelines by then for supplies and prevention methods. But the way she said it, it also kind of implied, she is not taking "shutting school down for the year" off the table if they don't get their shit together.
I expect the counties and cities now to pass a bunch more ordinances and shit to try and ignore her again.

I'm beginning to this is all a war on science. People have always chosen their own truths rather than face up to the harsh reality of things. The problem now is some of them are in charge. Our brains are very well equipped for rationalization. So unfortunately it’s easy to disregard things we don’t personally see despite every legitimate sign stating otherwise. At that point we tend to operate on a system of least resistance, meaning what’s most comfortable and convenient. It’s kind of a ‘see no evil’ mentality, and I’m not referring to Kane and his 6 foot schlong.

Meanwhile in Louisiana our AG Jeff Landry released an opinion saying forcing bars to stay closed and requiring people to wear masks in public is unconstitutional.
Sure this is going to help
Can’t wait until I can move out of this state

All kinds of businesses have mask requirements and such but aren't upholding them at all. My brother went to Dollar General yesterday and despite a mask requirement being listed on the door and an occupancy limit of 14 people, neither of those was being even slightly accounted for and there were just a ton of people in the building taking zero precautions, including the cashiers.
Then this morning we went to Foodland. Had a mask requirement on the door and when we went in people were acknowledging it, but as we were there there started being more people popping up not wearing them and the guy behind us in line didn't even have a freaking shirt.

Rose parade has been cancelled, that’s 1/1/21, no end in sight. They had to make the decision as soon as they could. People work on the floats for a year, bands prepare like crazy, and they already had some bands and float makers pull out.

Georgia's governor just made it illegal for any county in the state to mandate masks in public. What a stupid bastard. Dude has just been awful throughout this whole pandemic.
Also, I got scolded today by my principal for posting the CDC's risk assessments for school's reopening. Meanwhile 4 other teachers at our school are posting about how mandating masks/wearing masks in public is taking part in socialism and destroying the country. I want to leave the south more and more every day.

That's exactly it. They've made their own version of the story up so they don't have to face the harsh reality.

Georgia's governor just made it illegal for any county in the state to mandate masks in public. What a stupid bastard. Dude has just been awful throughout this whole pandemic. That is both stupid and illegal. Counties and local municipalities have the authority to set their own laws and limitations that exceed the state and federal government own laws. The only thing they cannot do is pass laws that nullify state laws. It's how dry counties can exist. It's how curfews can exist. It's how different areas have different ages of consent. He has no authority to bar local governments from exceeding state mandate as long as those laws are not discriminatory. Man, I get that. I would go batty under those circumstances. My wife quit a job she liked because her boss refused to take the pandemic seriously, which is doubly inexcusable since he was a doctor.

I've thought about quitting a lot in the last two days and I'm still thinking about it. I know I would regret the hell out of it when all of this eventually dies down, but right now I feel like they're finding new ways to disrespect us every day.

In Louisiana the Attorney General is saying that forcing students to wear masks when school re opens in a violation of the rights.
I’m just dumbfounded at how stupid people are.
Does he even realize that a good portion of the teachers are in the at risk group and by doing this he is putting them in danger

I'm confused by the logic of: "Wearing a mask violates your rights but exposing everybody to a deadly virus doesn't violate anybody's rights"
