reading their statement they don't seem to... like dispute anything she says except "you didn't quit we fired you" which... I mean... her leaving the show was like the least damning part of her post? It is sort of like an office being accused of sexual harassment going “Well, we don’t deny there was unwanted advances, bosses asking for sexual favors and rampant sexism and all of that was dealt internally, but you stole office equipment and that’s expensive”.

It is sort of like an office being accused of sexual harassment going “Well, we don’t deny there was unwanted advances, bosses asking for sexual favors and rampant sexism and all of that was dealt internally, but you stole office equipment and that’s expensive”. my thought was someone being accused of murder and theft... and the big defense being "Your honor, I most certainly did not steal that man's wallet." Which ok... but that's not like the big issue at hand.

So the super progressive woke company is just as full of assholes as the next one.

So the super progressive woke company is just as full of assholes as the next one. That's...not the lesson you should take from this. Like, that's far from it. And it's hard to take your point seriously when you use "woke" in that context.

Really, because that is what it boils down to.
Anyway, don't fancy taking a holiday so I'll shut up now. Opinions and all that.

Again, no it doesn't and again, it's ignoring as much if your take away from all this is dumb meaningless talking points. Also, if you don't want to then backtrack on these sorts of things and risk potential warnings if you know you might be, the best thing to do is to not bring them up.

I'm not backtracking at all, I'm just bowing out.

She could've both been difficult to work with while all the stuff she alleged was completely true.

BTW, the stuff about that PA needing a GoFundMe to pay for her medical bills for injuries on the show is 100% true. I saw it for myself. So it's not like Ruby is completely blowing smoke here.

Eh, I think this is just gonna be one of those stories where you believe who you want. Ruby Rose has said she's not returning and honestly, who knows how long Batwoman even runs for anyway.
Me personally, I'm gonna believe the lead actress who was injured on the show and could've just came back if things were cool the way WB is suggesting over a production assistant who isn't going to want to burn bridges and actors still working for WB.

So it's not like Ruby is completely blowing smoke here. actually, she kind of is with that one. its true a PA was involved in an accident with a lift on set and was paralyzed, and its true she had to set up a GoFundMe to help cover medical bills, but according to Ruby: "Her accident occurred because our show refused to shut down when everyone else did because of COVID." unless the PA and/or lift operator had COVID and it impaired the performance of their job, one thing has nothing to do with the other. you might as well argue that the accident was the result of them decided to work or a Wednesday, or because they wanted to film in Canada, or because WB chose to make the show in the first place, or any arbitrary reason that resulted in that specific PA and that specific lift operator being at that specific spot at that specific time. to blame the accident on the producers because of COVID is a cheap shot

So it made the unsafe working conditions worse, because now they really had to rush, when production really should have shut down.

So it made the unsafe working conditions worse, because now they really had to rush, when production really should have shut down. Also, between that and likely working a ton of hours per day (which we know was a big issue throughout TV and movie productions because of the IATSE almost striking), you could've had a pretty nasty situation with overworked and exhausted crewmembers all due to the showrunners' refusal to halt production due to COVID. That in turn makes the likelihood of serious accidents far greater.

I notice none of that actually contradicts anything she said. It's entirely possible she was a nightmare to work with while also being truthful about it being a horrific work environment.
And talking about 18 hour days and saying "her supposed injury" seem like good indications of her point.
