If they wanted an out gay Batman stand in to replace Kate they could always just use Midnighter lol. If watch the SHIT out of a Midnighter and Apollo show. It'll never happen because it would need to be a Punisher-level hard R to get them right but that's always an idea. Plus as weird as it is, I feel like it's still easier for them to get a series about a hot lesbian greenlit than one featuring two gay male leads, especially for superhero fare. Oh it absolutely would be. A lot of that coveted 18-49 male demographic are still "yay lesbians" and "eww Gay!"

Wow did not think they would full out go replacing the actual character of Batwoman for some random , they can try and put a whole different person in the suit but if it aint Kate Kane it aint Batwoman. I would have excused it if this was someone else from the comic who also held the mantle of Batwoman but uh can't find anyone other than Kate Kane even alternate versions are still Kate Kane. the only other one was Kathy Kane, Kate's aunt ... which they weren't going to use because it would be a bit god damned confusing to have no I'm Kathy not Kate... also I'm older <_< I can only assume the new character is to try and leave it open for Rose to come back... but making up a brand new main character that has no relation to anyone in the middle of an ongoing series without the titular character ever showing back up again seems... really dumb. There’s pretty heavy rumours going around that Rose was difficult to deal with near the end and both sides felt it was best not to continue forward. Living in Vancouver combined with the heavy workload of being a lead apparently had made her pretty miserable. So I doubt they’re hoping for any return. It’s still really f***ing dumb to change the character tho

Trying to think of other instances where they just flat out replaced the main character, and the only one coming to mind off the top of my head is when That 70s Show replaced Eric and Kelso with Randy. I doubt the writers could bungle things that badly, but it also wouldn’t shock me to see all of Kate Kane’s friends and allies instantly welcoming her into the fray with little resistance and going on about how she is definitely a worthy replacement for Kate. Valerie Burton left her sitcom in the 80s and Roseanne recently over her comments. Although they didn't exactly replace Roseanne.

To slightly derail things for just one moment..LEGENDS f***ING KILLED IT TONIGHT WITH MY FAVOURITE FIGHT SCENE LOL I WAS f***ING DYYYYYING. Legends of Tomorrow is the only CW show that I give a f*** about, I don't really count Green Arrow and The Canaries in that, although the buddy cop dynamic with Laurel and Dinah is entertaining and anything that gives me more Katie Cassidy is amazing, but I don't want serious superhero shows, I want goofy shit like Legends of Tomorrow because the world is a shitty place, so give me more of the Legends being over the top as hell. Also, it's got the more interesting characters of the Arrowverse, anyway and I never thought I'd be saying that about Heatwave when he first debuted in The Flash as Snart's Jannetty.

GA and the Canaries isn't a full series yet so I would not count it either. But going with just the shows on the CW...yes Legends IMO is the best and has been my favourite since season 2 where they stopped trying to be serious and embraced the f*** out of being a wacky andvetuours superhero show. Only thing I don't like is they clearly got a budget slashing because alot of them don't get to use their actual powers often....Charlie barely ever shapeshifted , Nate barely ever steels up and when he does it is for less than a minute amd when Ray was there it was like his suit never exsisted anymore outside the crossover. I hope with the theme of next season that it means a bigger budget if for nothing else that we get to see more of the team use their powers more often.

I've been saying Legends is the best of all the shows for years now. It's this weird thing where, if you watch, you know this and you try to tell people, but no one seems to want to listen. Sometimes I get annoyed that it seems like the red-headed stepchild of the DC shows, but that's the same reason they're allowed to do whatever they want. Clearly, no one cares what they do, so they do what they want and it's amazing.
Not to derail the topic; I just always feel compelled to defend my nutso little show.
Also, Mick is awesome and has been my favorite since pretty much the start. Dominic Purcell is an utter gem in the part.

Mick going from just a thug for Snart to being a genuine hero and a good guy, even if he's still surly as hell has been a pleasent surprise, what was odd was, when Snart left fairly early on, I thought that Legends would flop considering I was a huge fan of Wentworth Miller's portrayal of Captain Cold, but it seems like Legends has only gotten better after Snart left. I also think it's a neat thing that none of the Legends outshine the other for the most part, like, the team itself is the star, not one specific member of that team, if that makes sense?

Mick is the heart of the show and his growth has been amazing to watch from criminal goon who struggled with Snarts death to now being a father. I really hope when all is said and done with the show he gets the happiest of endings.

I think that, whenever Legends ends, the last thing we see of Mick is him hugging the rest of the Legends of even just genuinely smiling, something that he very rarely, if ever, does.

Never thought about it. I'd love for her to do it. She's way more expressive and would be right for the physicality of it.

If she were to even audition and get it, they could maybe work some part time deal but I doubt WWE'd let her and keep her a featured part on their TV.

I see what you did there. ;p .........you know WWE would complain or fight it, then.

The only thing they can really complain about them giving her a push and her leaving They can fight it but shit like this is where they falter unless it is a specific cause in her contract saying she can't do this. The only real hold up I can see is her hitting the days she need for her contract to be good. Let's say she has to hit 200 days on her contract per year. Can she do it? Most likely. However, the shows most likely won't want her risking it so that's the catch 22

In the event she gets the role...her WWE career atleast fulltime is gone. The CW superhero shows usually start filming from July on through to the following Feb-March and that is minnimum of 16hr days as the lead and this going off what Stephen Amell had to go through as the lead on Arrow. So she would get maybe a 3 month window free away from filming for the show and in that time she likely has to start preparing for the next season anyways so the downtime is even less. And then there are things like having to uproot her whole life to move to Vancouver. She may want the role but idk if she is willing to give up her life completely as she knows it for the role.
