I've met Larry a few times and had the pleasure of sitting next to him at a convention for a few hours and he's one of the most positive guys you could meet. When he is negative, if ever, it's really a dry sense of humor type of way to have fun with the fan. He's one guy who genuinely takes an interest in the fan, where they came from and the item he's signing. I would think, if he did like Louie that he would have broke kayfabe no problem. On TV he says what he feels so he probably felt a certain way but we will never know unless someone asks him in a shoot or at a show. And the feud was so short that it's not a hot topic that might get asked on a shoot.
I'm guessing Louie got fired from WWF for drug use but don't recall ever reading specifically. It seemed like he and Chris really clicked with the tag team they had going and it ended really quickly. I wonder how much time was given to Tom Prichard to get hair cut and dyed. The Body Donnas team was good while it lasted, both guys were pros even though Chris was so young but I think Louie and Chris with the slight difference in appearance and gimmicks worked better. During the time almost all, if not all, WWF teams had the same gimmick and appearance so to me it got stale especially since there were only 4 or 5 real teams at the time. Louie was also one of the few guys hired during the early to mid 1995 time period with odd gimmicks that was the most promising.

I think someone talked to Larry, and remembered that he said that his statement came about because someone in his ear at commentary told him not to mention drugs. It was a reaction to that, supposedly, not their on screen rivalry.

I'm trying to find where I read about this--it was fairly recently--but yes, it was more that Larry was taken aback that he was asked about it to begin with.

I just went back and listened to the Larry clip on the Between the Sheets episode that covered Spicoli's death, and he clearly sounds uncomfortable and maybe not that happy that Schiavone put him on the spot like that. I think it was more gross miscommunication on WCW's part than anything.
