If you were a kid in the 90s and lived in Ontario, Canada, you couldn't escape this jingle on radio or TV:
Or this one:

The short lived Comedy central show Detroiters, parodied real commercials I used to watch growing up in Metro Detroit, and Kevin Nash played one of the main characters dads! That show was gone to soon. Funny show. Big Kev as Big Hank was hilarious, and the stories of him going crazy and smearing shit everywhere. And him telling his son, "It wasn't my shit." lol

Eagle Auto Insurance. These commercials are legendary for those of us in Chicago and its suburbs. The commercials themselves are from the 90s, but just a couple years ago, there was an ad for Blackhawks tickets which spoofed these absolute classics, because that’s how fondly they’re remembered. youtu.be/O4-e4nlfdRIyoutu.be/OyJXxnJKWkEyoutu.be/85QSEzyw7RY

Rodney D. Young auto insurance commercials.
They were usually comical. And had the closing tagline: "Think young. Rodney D. Young!!"

For all you Bay Area folks. It was the same thing for Sacramento, too. I saw that commercial all the time as a kid.

Rodney D. Young auto insurance commercials. They were usually comical. And had the closing tagline: "Think young. Rodney D. Young!!" Oh yeah, those were all over the STL area when I was a boy. Loved that jingle. Also in St. Louis, Schweig Engel had a ton of wacko parody ads for years. And there's multiple generations who know "Johnny Londoff, Chevrolet! *ding*" www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMdO2X9T1m0

As for station identification (which are ads), my PBS affiliate KETC-9 had a *lovely* theme song in the early 90s.

In the late70s, watching WWF (from 11 pm to midnight) meant watching ads for The New Jersey Gems women’s basketball team.

If you grew up near Dayton, Ohio in the 80’s, you’ve probably seen Voss Chevrolet commercials, featuring the Voss Hoss. (This video is obviously a retrofit—I didn’t find an original—but the fact that they’re still using it speaks to the character’s nostalgic popularity):
And if you grew up anywhere in the state of Ohio, you probably remember this guy:
This commercial was popular during my high school days. Sharing the same name as this guy, it caused me a lot of grief:
