Yea it was a rough scene to watch when I was young. But it does lead to his badass mohawk and look later. Which then leads to the memorable Bonnie Taylor chase scene as the climax. Then he becomes a citizen, draped in gold and we end on a freeze frame while he jumps in the air somehow For me (and many elder Millenials/Gen X-ers), "Holding Out for a Hero" will always be connected to this movie and not Shrek 2. Still haven't had the time to sit down and watch these classics with my daughter like I've wanted (I reference Los Locos all the time to my confused kids lol), need to correct that soon! That scene was way too intense and shouldn't have been in the movie, IMO. But it wouldn't have made way for the badass climax, especially when he goes after Oscar. (The delivery of that line is everything! Johnny 5 was so pure throughout the whole series, and this one line just shows how far he was pushed)

Quick and painless?! I don't have a gif of it, but let's not forget Ironhide literally grabbing Megatrons leg and begging for mercy before being shot in the face. Wouldn't say he was begging, he was being heroic. Didn't work out, but still.

watership down the 80's animated film, still traumatising children to this day That fight between Bigwig and Woundwort is insane. Not to mention the Bright Eyes sequence is like taking acid or something.

The guys who did it had a crush on her growing up, so they figured that would be a great way to meet her. lol.

That's awesome! That's what I've heard. I think it's even in the "Trivia" section for Saw on imdb. Yep, here it is: According to the DVD commentary, casting agent Amy Lippens asked director James Wan who he wanted to play the character of Amanda. On a whim, Wan suggested Shawnee Smith, on whom he had had a crush since his teen years. He was surprised when Lippens came back a few days later and told him that they had secured her for the role.

Weirdly enough, I remember her as a barfly in Armageddon, with Steve Buscemi telling her her engagement ring is fake. I know she was on Becker and Anger Management later on. But I also think of her from The Blob remake from the 80s.
