My son got an aquarium and a betta fish for the living room. Then he got frustrated because it seemed to generate a lot of algae really quickly. To save himself some effort from cleaning it all the time, he went out and got two snails to keep the tank clean. The fish seems to get along with them well and the tank stays clean. Today I was walking by the tank and thought I saw a smudge on the glass. I looked a little closer and realized….it is a baby snail. He is so cute. Snails keep fish tanks clean? Learn something new everyday.

Watched Collision with my son, first time he'd ever watched a full show from any company and he largely enjoyed it. Due to that he wants to watch TNA: Rebellion with me later and watch Dynasty tomorrow after school. I think I may've gotten my son interested wrestling

My wild watercress patch down by the spring came in strong this spring and I just had some for the first time this year. Peppery and perfect.

I think I may've gotten my son interested wrestling My oldest son got into wrestling thanks to it being the Attitude Era. So when he would come stay with me during Spring Break and summers we would watch and goto shows. Then well... we were at the June 2007 Beaumont TX house show and the Houston TX PPV the next night that Benoit wasn't at. That was my son's favorite. And since he learned what happened he hasn't watched much. But he did come 2 months ago to a show I was at to hang out and enjoyed himself. Even with my back hurting and not in the best mood had a blast last night at The Gulf Coast Wrestling event. 7 matches. ALl of them decent. Made a profit selling masks and figures.

I got bit by a pelican today. “But Bibboid, why does that make you happy,” you ask.
A few days ago my wife and son saw an injured pelican at a local park. They called a rescue organization who forwarded the request to county animal control. Wife called today to follow up and and animal control said that they “could not locate the animal”. We went back to the park and he was sitting exactly where the wife said he was. We called the rescue back and they sent a vet right over to pick the injured bird up. I blocked the bird’s escape route while she caught him in a blanket. And when he snapped at my hand I didn’t move away fast enough.
It is a bird they have treated before (he has a leg band) Vet called us back and said he does have a broken wing but it is treatable.
So to rephrase my opening statement, today we helped rescue an injured bird.

It's been a horrible time lately, with my grandma passing, puppers having health issues, family fights and work trouble, among other things. Luckily, the district's municipal pool has been remodeled and reopened, olympic size. 10 soles (about 3 bucks) and you get an hour to swim to your heart's content.
I went today after work and it was f***ing awesome. No too crowded either, only two other people in my lane. Definitely doing this more often. I'm super relaxed right now.

Finally over this god awful cold I had all week.
Going to my favorite restaurant with my GF later on in the day to celebrate her finishing up her undergraduate program. Champagne is in the fridge for when we return home to the pups.

Little guy at the grocery store caught my eye, so brought him home. Had a coupon for being a valuable customer at the store, so got him for free too. Always nice. Aaaaaaand it's finally five days until I get to see Fall Guy! I've been waiting for so long to see it

I just found out that my town’s regional sports network is launching its own subscription service. At long last, a legal way to watch in-market games without cable or satellite. And at a far better price of $17.99/month.
The RSN *is* available through Fubo and DirecTV Stream, but at those prices I may as well go back to cable.

It is floof season at the park by my house. I went for a walk around the pond after work today and all the geese and ducks have had babies. Cute floofy little ducklings and goslings.

One of my local teams is in Bally Sports hell at the moment but I think next season they are going to Amazon Prime (thank god). In other news, getting over a cold I've had since Saturday.

Celebrated my 22nd (dating) anniversary with my wife yesterday. Went out and bought her a dozen roses and two police badges (she has a big display of them in her office)

We got a huge family of geese that live on the lake. Most days now I see them wandering around a neighbor's yard. When it rains they love to come splash in the puddles where teh paved road ends and our property starts. Back during the pandemic I would go sit on the pier for hours at a time to just relax. The geese learned if I was out I had snacks and if they swam near the pier i would toss them something. Today was the first day in 15 days that I could walk and sit without backpain. Looks like whatever I did is healed up almost fully now.
