Riddle and his clown lawyer are doing a better job of defaming themselves than Samantha Tavel ever could.

Judging by his... whatever the hell that segment was on Smackdown tonight, he's in a holdover period in terms of wrestling and direction until this is settled
And maybe even longer after that given how WWE drops guys without even needing a reason.

Bumping this because I saw it in the last couple of pages in this thread and Bix just posted a new article about the very subject.

Bumping this because I saw it in the last couple of pages in this thread and Bix just posted a new article about the very subject. Don’t think anyone in here thought she faked text messages. The issue was that people said Riddle’s lawyer fabricated evidence by saying Cartwright posted Riddle’s wife’s phone number. But she actually did post it (and subsequently took it down and reposted redacted).

Genuine question - why is she naming WWE in the suit? Matt wasn't under contract per Fightful? Feels odd to me, but I acknowledge I might be missing something with dates.

Probably time to get Matt Riddle and his new shitty dreads off TV.

"In the lawsuit, it is alleged that Tavel had bookings with WWE and Evolve on or about January 31, 2020, and that prior to that Riddle had forced her to perform sexual acts under the threat that she would lose bookings if she did not. Tavel claims that she refused to continue, and that Riddle informed WWE and Evolve that he did not want her working with the companies and that she was told "issues with talent" prevented the bookings." This'd be why.

By including WWE all that’s going to happen is that McDevitt will take over for Lionel Hutz and this will all go away.

Poor woman is going to be bankrupted by the McDevitt strategy of "tie things up in court so long that the other person just goes away".

Poor woman is going to be bankrupted by the McDevitt strategy of "tie things up in court so long that the other person just goes away". Plaintiff’s attorneys usually take cases like this on a contingency fee basis, which means they just take a percentage of any winnings/settlement but if the case gets dismissed or they lose at trial, the attorney gets nothing. The lawyers hope that 1 winning case will pay for 10 losing cases.

Wow this story is leading on the local news. Didn’t think it’d get that big outside the wrestling bubble.

Scattershot attempt to sue anyone at all lawsuits like this rarely tend to get anywhere.
She might have a chance if she has any evidence at all, but without it, it's just a PR nightmare WWE might pay to go away...or might make an example of by countering her back with something.
I dont rate her chances in this at all
