I say, who cares? If he didn't rape anyone or the guy wasn't underage, so what?

So, I read up the thread and it turns out that Senegal isn't trying to out Riddle, they were attempting to establish that Riddle is lying about being stalked and that they can vouch for Riddle having a history of being abusive

"Same-sex affair" is exactly the type of terminology I'd find in an issue of People Magazine from like 1995.

If you're going to have an affair, at least don't have the same sex all the time. Mix it up once in a while.

It doesn't really matter who Matt Riddle may be sexually attracted to, but if he cheated on his wife his "He's an asshole" card is only growing.

There were 6 people inside this car and an awake driver. Show a text from the following year where you talked to a friend about Matt being a dirtbag. Explain why Matt and his wife have a legal history of you doing crazy things to their family. When you have a history of doing things to mess with this said family, you don't just get to throw accusations around. Nearly every other accuser has shown evidence. It what should be the easiest case to prove, she can't show a damn thing and has history of stalking Matt's family, which Matt can legally show.

Mrs. Riddle: Where have you been? I haven’t seen you in two weeks.
Mr. Riddle: I’ve been in Senegal.
Mrs. Riddle: Oh...

Why didn't she go to the police after it happened, when she would have had fresh bruises on her neck instead of waiting 2 years to say that it happened? It's also convenient that she chose to bring this out the night before he was set to make his main roster debut.

My ex girlfriend had sex on the side with a few girls, I knew and had no issue with it. Some of us have "alternative lifestyles" doesn't mean were bad people. If it's consenting , whatever ..

“Accused of a same sex affair” might be one of the most f***ed up things I’ve read here in awhile. I find some men very attractive, does that mean I might be “A Gay”? It's like he was accused by someone from 1958.

This is a pure distraction even if its not meant to be. Sleeping with someone else while in a relationship may be immoral but its not something anyone should lose their job over. In addition bringing up that its "same sex affair" is totally repugnant and brings nothing new to the table besides trying to call him out as being gay or bisexual as a negative thing.

Ok this just looks like 2 consenting adults. Moral problems aside, this is a non issue.

It's also convenient that she chose to bring this out the night before he was set to make his main roster debut. If you are still at 'why didn't she go to the police' about any of these stories, that suggests to me you haven't read any of them to their end and simply don't understand what is going on. Abuse is about power. It is a power dynamic. Not physical power, at least not solely, emotional and mental power. Being abused makes you feel powerless. You feel like it was your fault, you deserved it or brought it on yourself. You feel nobody would believe you. You expect police to be unsympathetic, potentially based on your friends' own experiences with them. I'm begging you to read up on how shit like this happens, because responses like yours are exactly the kind of response that will have made her not speak out at the time. And to harp on a point I make in all these threads - we don't actually know how many of these people went to the police and were ignored, because a lot of them aren't stating that.

It's funny because before I read the rape accusations, I had a man-crush on Riddle.
Now I just feel sick.

Even if it wasn't their intent to out Riddle, they outted Riddle. Shitty thing to do to someone no matter what they're accused of.

Exactly. Why didn't she go to the police after it happened, when she would have had fresh bruises on her neck instead of waiting 2 years to say that it happened? Simple enough: she was afraid of the repercussions of both her own career, and the physical threats he made against her that could very well have been carried out if people didn't believe her and he was prosecuted. Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual assault nearly 50 years after he started committing the acts. Every single act spoken about in the last 72 hours didn't happen in the last 72, but over several years of abuse ranging from the sexual to mental to physical. When someone finds the strength to speak out several years later, it doesn't lessen the mental anguish they went through carrying that weight with them the whole time. Reread what you just posted. It doesn't matter for one iota if you believe her or not: be better than this.
