Hey Dave.... F off about who breaks a story like this first. What? he was just confirming that another's people story are accurate and gives the reference to the first story. All reporters do it.What are you going on about?

Hey Dave.... F off about who breaks a story like this first. All he's doing is confirming the initial story and saying he's about to reveal additional details. How is that a bad thing?

All reporters do it.What are you going on about? I read it as Dave trying to say he already knew and get people to his site. Sorry... just my opinion.

WWE and AEW should not be running anything close to live shows right now. I said it before, and I'll say it again. They should have done a week long marathon taping for about 2 months or so worth of television, and sent everybody back home. After about a month and a half you call people back for another marathon.
Cases are spiking all over the United States, and they're in freaking Florida. This was bound to get bad.

I think July is going to be a s**t show with all the sports leagues trying to start back up. I get that it is mostly survivable for these guys and ladies.... but damn, I just want it to go away (or go as far away as it possibly can).

Wasn't it the start of June when the one positive case was detected ? I've it in my head it was the 7th of June so if im in the right week even then today in the 24th the virus takes about 14 days to show up in people so it's not a huge leap to say these cases are linked to that one case.

I think part of the problem is that in America the response got heavily politicised not science. Most of the countries with better outcomes managed to treat it in bipartisan scientific fashion as a matter of public health, but sadly that wasn’t going to happen in America. ftfy Yes, but it could be treated scientifically because fundamental issues weren’t treated as partisan. It’s bizarre how things like wearing a mask or in isolation became political statements, and then you tie it into the President actively encouraging far-right protests in states like Michigan... and that’s even besides the incompetence. Additionally, the political divides have also made it much harder to have a coherent response across states, which has been vital in other countries.

Crossing my fingers that the numbers in New York hold and they become the undeniable example of how to do it right for the rest of the country.

The parts of the country that are having the worst outbreaks won’t give a single f*** about the right way to handle it. They don’t care

Time for that off season most fans have been asking for and some wrestlers as well. Till September at the earliest run old RAWS, Smackdowns and NXT. I think running old Saturday Night Main Events from the 80s would kick ass to be honest.

I think that's your answer as to why they were so reluctant to test people. You might not like what you find.
How big a deal this is for them depends on how many I guess. 1-3 would be par for the course in a lot of these sports. Anywhere close to a dozen or more, and there's no way they'll be able to carry on.

I know hindsight is 20-20. But I think that maybe, just maybe, a few people could see that bribing the govenor to open your business at a time when it was unsafe to do so, followed by not properly testing people, not allowing people to wear masks, & bringing in 'friends & family' into an environment where COVID-19 has already been tested positive for, that MIGHT JUST cause some serious problems. Call me Nostradamus, I dunno.
But hey, they had to do it! WWE is 'woven into the fabric of American culture', yada yada yada. I will admit that I'm not from the United States, & so my knowledge of said culture is not 100%. But I would bet you pounds to Pringles that if WWE disappeared, the American people would be able to carry on.
I am cheering so hard for Roman Reigns right now.

I'm guessing if you stopped and asked the average American about WWE they'd either go, "That fake shit?" or "I haven't watched that shit in years."

You see in America, businesses are very self-important, and project that onto the people. And sometimes, businesses ARE people. So to sum up, we have no idea what is ever going on.
