Taeler Hendrix also says the same thing, she's been blacklisted from companies since.

Pretty sure Taeler has said this before, but I believe it’s the first I’m hearing of Kelly Klein saying anything

I feel sorry for Taeler that because she came out before the movement at large, people just completely disregarded what she had to say.

Frankly Hendrix allegations against Letal have been public for years, and how she was utterly swept under the rug was shameful.

I was going to say, how did people just so thoroughouly ignore Hendrix? Poor girl just got either ignored at best or accused as a liar or having her mental stability questioned at worst.

I remember the reason was that Taeler had a history of being awkward to say the least in locker rooms which lead to her not being in ROH anymore and at the time, it was easier to put to the side because of that and likely lead to others not speaking out because they’d get the same treatment.
...this is all before this other context which now paints a COMPLETELY different picture of things.

What Taeler went through at the time after accusing Lethal is why so many others were scared to speak out until the floodgates opened. If what Kelly says is true, it just got swept under the rug by the powers that be and Taeler essentially got blacklisted from a good chunk of the industry.

I'll be honest, I had my reservations about Taeler's initial claim myself, especially since there could have been other reasons as to why Taeler could have been stopped being booked. But seeing more than one name accuse Lethal of the same thing really has me rethinking everything. Ring of Honor really needs to take these claims seriously, because they can't just go ahead and promote Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll as top stars without addressing the multiple elephants in the room.

Yeah, I think it was a combination of there being some vague negative stuff already out there about Taeler (never really clearly defined, as far as I could tell, but maybe I'm wrong) that caused some people to doubt her veracity, and Lethal mostly handling it pretty well via twitter that likely made it go away quickly; he basically tweeted in a way to deescalate the situation, tell people not to go after Taeler, etc. while still denying wrongdoing, that kind of thing. It's possible that Taeler has or had some kind of issue that might've directly caused some people to doubt her; again, I don't know, what little I've read was too vague for me to venture a guess, and I'd feel gross doing so. But the fact her accusation was so quickly brushed aside is something to seriously think about, and Kelly saying there have been multiple complaints is also something to treat very seriously. If it's true, then it really is amazing how multifaceted ROH's failure with the old "Women of Honor" concept really was; there was the failure to ever bring enough full-time women in, the failure to invest enough resources, time, or creative energy into the division, worst of all what apparently was a failure to keep the women safe or to take accusations of harassment by upper carders seriously enough, and then all of those failures combining to really take down major parts of their power structure...all for a division they never put enough care into in the first place. Things were looking more positive pre-COVID once Scurll took over and said they'd introduce a new women's title and seemed to indicate a more honest attempt at a legitimate division, but now Marty has his own past catching up with him...I saw someone here say it'd be nice if ROH would just go for it and name a woman as head booker, and stuff like this makes that idea sound more and more appealing than it already was. Caveat, of course, that we don't know the full nature of accusations against Lethal, that we shouldn't leap to assuming a specific type of offense on his part until a clearer account comes out, etc., but even if it's something considered lower on the spectrum of possible negative actions it's still not excusable, and the office potentially sweeping it under the rug because it involved a top wrestler would be a pretty damn big issue, regardless.

The fact that Lethal was able to get away with it is why I don't think anything will happen to Scurll, either.
ROH loves their predators in high places.

I thought it was only a matter time before his history with Taeler was brought up. I remember that thread when it was first posted and thought at the time it would be interesting to see how it went. Nothing happened and it just silently went away. Hopefully now Lethal gets held accountable.
