The only way I can see this working long term is if Rey loses and retires in the near future. Even if Seth takes a few months off because of Becky being pregnant, he'll still have to come back eventually and still be missing an eye. Unless this whole angle gets written off as a dream in six months, like a story in a bad soap opera. If Rollins loses I’m thinking their direction is “Hopefully everyone forgets when he comes back from baby duty.”

It always amazes me that the WWE act like the fans can't remember anything when not only are most of us nerds, but the Network is right there. How many first time ever matches have not been first time ever matches

Unless this whole angle gets written off as a dream in six months, like a story in a bad soap opera. So my theory is Rey loses and wears a new mask that only has one eyehole so we never see his other eye. Also in kayfabe, Seth just has to rip Rey's mask off and while he's too busy protecting his dignity, Seth uses the distraction to steal his eye.

This match gave me flashbacks of my childhood nightmare. > I was sitting in a swing, in the backyard of this one house... blue goblin with yellow hair came out of nowhere and took out my eyeballs, dropped 'em in juice can and said " Lil' Some Raspberry!" / I remember seeing the monster before in my other dream, where he took my best friend into the depths of forest never to be seen again...

So, according to the WON the plan is to have the eye being gouged out simulated by CGI. I can't envision this being anything but unfathomably shit. This is going to be the best kind of stupid. Eye can’t wait. Lucio Fulci didn't need CGI.

This is going to end exactly how Seth/Bray ended: Totally stupid.
Whoever is about to lose their eye, the ref or Triple H or Vince or whoever will end the match, because things are "getting out of control." The loser will have only suffered a "devastating injury" that will keep them off of tv for a while, only to comeback and praise the miracles of modern medical procedures that were able to save their eye.
There's no way that this has a legit finish.

I want them both to lose an eye at the same time forcing a sudden death of taking the other eye.

This is the kind of shit that takes suspension of disbelief too far. I can believe in fake fights where guys take more punishment than is humanly possible. I can believe the street fights, etc where weapons are used and guys are brutalized far beyond what any law and sports commission would allow. The line is pretty much the non-sanctioned matches where the "non-medically cleared" wrestler has a match. Regardless of waivers and any other legal ass-coverings, no legitimate athletic entity would allow this kind of thing. Now I'm supposed to believe that there is a match where the requirement is to maim your opponent. No, that's past the line, there is no way I can take this seriously, I cannot suspend disbelief this far.
It's great that they're testing new ground with cinematic matches and going in new directions, but once it goes into territory where I can no longer believe I'm watching a legitimate sport, I'd rather watch a movie.

As he has the connections to Bray/Fiend, and was apparently "changed" by his encounter with him. And he is one of the only two people who have been able to enter the Firefly Funhouse. So he could go there again to be HEALed. Possible hints, probably not intended as such, but.... 1) The talk of Rey not seeing sunset/sunrise can be seen as a reference to "He won't see the sun again" from Bray's entrance theme. 2) Remember after Seth did come to the FFH and burnt it? Think back to Ramblin' Rabbit's funeral, which I believe is the only direct time we saw the HEAL glove used. When Bray takes RR's remains out, the right side of his head is a bloody pulp, complete with NO EYE. Again not sure it was intended as such, but knowing Bray's callbacks and foreshadowing...

This is how I want it to go: Ultra violent pull out of SETH'S EYE. Rey sells Seth's eye to John Morrison cause Miz is Naruto (hahaha). This gives John Morrison Seth's messiah powers. I choose Seth because it is much more interesting than Rey losing an eye, at least aftermath wise. I imagine if Rey loses his eye it will probably just be a retirement thing - but with Seth there is a universe of possibilities... Psychotic revenge on everyone that says "I" cause he thinks its "eye", the aforementioned cyborg eye, forcing Murphy to donate one of his loved one's eyes to Seth, dark magic powers of some kind, Christian's malayasian slaves, perhaps even cloning himself so he can wrestle and remove the clone's eye, etc, etc, etc.
