So I've spent the past week or so kind of rapid-fire binging through this show - though skipped the first two episodes since I heard they set a very bad first impression - and just finished getting caught up. Definitely takes a bit to find its footing but show's really great once it gets rolling, very eager for whenever season 4 comes out.

Most of season one is definitely them getting the edgy out of their system in the same way the first season of Harley Quinn was and it almost made me not bother wanting to watch but from Episode 8 onwards, we’re off to the races.

Actually rather surprised they're doing a Voyager episode with Prodigy around. Even with the limbo its in right now it would've still been seemingly secure when they were making it.

Prodigy takes place 3+ years later than Lower Decks so Voyager is clear to use.

If you want to get super technical, though, the clip shown for the new season of Prodigy basically says Voyager itself is in status, thus Voyager II being a thing, so I see it more as them going to that ship to be involved with that preservation somewhat. On a non-canon standpoint, if they didn't do a Voyager related episode after doing a DS9 related one, that'd be super weird.

Not strictly LD, but it does look like the primary series to crossover:

TAS Neelix is kind of just the right amount of horrifying.

Just watched the new episodes. Very fun start to the season.
"Moopsy!" should not be anywhere near as amusing a running gag as it is.

I love the running gag of new combatants being added to the battle in the title sequence.
S1: Borg vs. Romulans
S2: Borg vs. Romulans vs. Pakleds vs. Klingons
S3: Borg vs. Romulans vs. Pakleds vs. Klingons vs. Crystalline Entity
S4: Borg vs. Romulans vs. Pakleds vs. Klingons vs. Crystalline Entity vs. Whale Probe

I’d be super curious if they got the guy who did the Voyager and TNG shorts because they look a lot like them!
Also, hi Ethan Peck!

Just caught up on the two new episodes. That was quite enjoyable. I loved Ransome and Shax working out in the leotards that Crusher and Troi used in that one episode. The fact that they find such obscure stuff to use on the show could end up feeling forced, but they work it in so seamlessly that it just adds to everything.

Fun new episode. Not a crazy amount to say about it, kind of just the characters bouncing off each other while references fly around like crazy, but good stuff. T'Lyn has slid into the dynamic of the show quite well so far.

If anybody has the inclination and the budget to play D&D with Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid (plus Matthew Lillard and Micah Burton) for charity: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxd-UBKy6S0 Also, this week's ep may well be my favourite so far. {Spoiler}Tendi being raised as an assassin but just only ever wanting to be a dorky Starfleet scientist is just *chef kiss* and the running gag of Mariner getting stabbed in the same shoulder was great.

Need to catch up with the other two episodes but having watched the first two now, I have one thing to say
Moopsy.

Ok, I thought this was funny. Not amazing but I laughed. I think that’s what they just needed to be, absurd.

Very Short Treks feels like what everyone expected Lower Decks to be like when it was first announced.
