Considering that quality hot tea is a hallmark of British culture, is iced tea considered blasphemous in the UK?

It's certainly not my cup of tea (get it?), but there are a lot more cold brew options available from tea shop specialists that have become popular. You can buy Liptons peach and lemon flavours I think but I'm not a fan.
Nothing beats Yorkshire Tea for me, preferably stewed to within an inch of its life so that the spoon stands up on its own.

I think people are mostly pretty indifferent. All jokes aside, we aren't nearly as precious about tea as the world seems to think.
Personally I can't stand tea for the most part, the only one I drink is rooibos and that's not often.

I've only seen it drunk on American tv shows.

I like iced tea, but I've never attempted to make it myself, and I wish we had more flavours of store bought to choose from.

I'm English and love iced tea. You can get Liptons and a few other brands in supermarkets. It's not exactly popular though, and nowhere near as widely available as in the US.
Being able to get a huge cup of iced tea at the cinema in the US was amazing to me 😅

I have English in my line so definitely have an affinity for iced tea and sometimes tea, though I do prefer coffee over all.

I’m not a Brit but I was raised by one. We always had a pot of tea on the dinner table. Some mornings the pot would not have been emptied and I would pour the cold remains into a glass and drink it. So if “iced tea” means hot tea made from tea leaves that is cooled down and poured over ice, I am all in favor of it. If you mean something prebottled, or made from a mix, or heavily flavored or sweetened, you can just keep that to yourself.

How anything connected to New Jack City can be frowned upon by an entire nation is beyond me. That movie is badass. We need to have a chit-chat, UK.
Oh, you said Ice *Tea*. I’m a stupid.

Perfect tea is Yorkshire, so strong you can stand on it with a tiny, tiny splash of milk. I'm really snobby about tea. Anything that changes the flavour of it (i.e. milk or sugar) isn't tea at all.

Will at least say to try an Arnold Palmer. (1/2 iced tea, 1/2 lemonade)
